I believe the code now requires an autoplay value in the short code after my inspection of the function.

    Would you please confirm this?

It would be really nice to have the feature back that just defaults the autoplay on value for the s3 videos (if possible).

This is an example of the shortcode

    [wp_lightbox_protected_s3_video name=”my-video.mp4″ bucket=”mybucket” width=”640″ height=”480″ source=”launch-presentation-video.png”]

    Thanks for your help

Is there any solution in the pipeline to get S3 mp4 videos to play on android tablets going forward using this plugin?

    Thanks for your time.

RE “@elehost, Do you have “Object Caching” enabled in your W3 Total Cache settings? “, yes I did have that enabled. I have turned it off and both Emember and the Lightbox settings work fine now. I take it this needs to be off as I could not find a setting that was obvious to allow it to work with it on.

    Thanks for your help.

Using WP Lightbox Ultimate and the W3 Total Cache 0.9.2.5 in WordPress 3.5 seems to give missing options settings in the settings page (due to caching). Is there an easy way to get it not to cache these admin options pages to avoid this issue?

Here is a direct manual test as requested with one short code:

    http://portal.optimalmrm.com/test-page/

The double icon close box, and the navigation arrows are gone for ony one short code on a page but the horizontal scroll bar is still a problem with this more basic test.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes I was aware we are fighting the browser’s behaviour here. In Firefox / Safari on my test system it automatically opens the file and does not provide this option. So if anything the user’s experience will be inconsistent for the <sstrong>download feature.

I know there are php ways of forcing a download such as the link example below:(http://webdesign.about.com/od/php/ht/force_download.htm).

I was hoping there was a way to use the s3 download feature to do the same thing (force a download for the download feature). Please kindly supply any additional comments you may have on this so I can decide how best to proceed.

Is there a way to use the short code above or some other one to allow the user to download the PDF instead of displaying it?

When I use the download short code option (like below) it just shows the file on top of the existing browser page:

    [wp_lightbox_secure_s3_file_download name="test.pdf" bucket="mybucket" source="/pdf-file-icon.png"]

    Thanks

I am too am looking for this solution requested above. In my case I am running into issues. It was working great before other than there not being a scroll box for longer content.

I have upgraded to the 7.1 verison of the plugin and am using the new short code as mentioned above in WordPresss 3.4.1:

    Sample Short Code Used:

    [wp_lightbox_ultimate_inline_content_embed div_id=”outline-1″ anchor_type=”text” title=”Product Name” text=”Outline” source=”” auto_popup=”false”]

Here is an example of the overlay div I am using:

    <div id=”outline-1″ class=”” style=”width:620px;height:480px;”>

    <h2 class=”eStore-module-name”>MODULE NAME

    <div class=”module-outline”>Content for this module

    Content for this module</div>

    </div>

Here are the issues I am having:

Example: In the site URL: [portal.optimalmrm.com] the link below has a number of different embedded pop-ups:

    /services/training/online-training-catalogue/1-market_risk_management/5-foundation_of_market_risk_management/

Click on the “Outline” link on any of the listed products to see what happens.

    1) I am getting both a horizontal and vertical scroll box. I only expected a vertical bar. I have tried to change the width but it seems to match the same on the surrounding divs.

    2) There is an inner blue close box within the outer close box and two pop-up windows seem to open when the link is clicked. The first pop up is a small white box with a spinning icon in the middle, the second is the pop up box with the double close buttons. When I close the first box the second one is still visible in Firefox.

    3) There is a left and right arrow showing up that I want to hide as it is not needed and is confusing to the user.

Any ideas what is wrong here or how to fix these issues?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Ok thanks!

RE “Yes, the lightbox ultimate plugin can be used to create secure download links for any of your amazon s3 media files. Is that what you mean? “

Yes this is what I was considering. Would you mind sharing with me a sample short code for this? I wanted to link to a PDF file on Amazon S3 via the Ultimate lightbox plugin (and not a video)? I am sorry if I am missing something simple here and thanks again for your help. I have the video linking to Amazong S3 working fine but was unsure how to get the other media types to work.

Thanks for your reply. I am not so much concerned about the saving of the files — as per your point that they can be downloaded — but the ability to share and access the files in the future and directly bypassing the restrictions on the page.

Does the verison v7.7.8 have the “Admin – Download Folder Protection” function?

Is it possible to use the Lightbox Amazon S3 integration to serve files this way (like the videos)? If so would you please point me in the right direction for adding a text link to a pdf file?

    Thanks for your help.

I too have this requirement for the selection of a different currency. It looks like this will require some custom programming to get it integrated based on my review of the code.

Thanks very much for your reply.

I tested the program called MP4 Faststart linked at http://www.datagoround.com/lab/ as suggested in the link you provided.

This indeed fixed my problem with the loading on the Samsung Galaxy 1010 Android Tablet and also seems to make the files load fater on the other devices.

    Thanks again!
