Could we please also request the (free ??) add-on plugin referenced in this thread that allows for the user to log-in using their email address?
May 11, 2017 at 8:22 am in reply to: eMember – customize redirect message on Site Wide Page Protection #72783clearscopedesignParticipantThat’s perfect, thank you!!!
clearscopedesignParticipantThank you – yes we do have the debug log enabled.
What should we search for within the debug log file to find the relevant record? I have tried searching for the Subscriber ID/Reference from both of these eMember accounts but that didn’t turn up anything.
May 10, 2017 at 7:20 am in reply to: eMember – customize redirect message on Site Wide Page Protection #72781clearscopedesignParticipantHello,
We would just like to style the message as it appears on this page via CSS. However there does not seem to be any class or ID applied to the body or h1 tag. And the instructions provided in the above link only seem to apply to changing the text itself.
There are also inline styles being applied to the body that we would like to change.
How can we target the CSS of the body and text of this page?
Thank you
clearscopedesignParticipantWe have contacted the email provider, but unfortunately they do not provide access to the SMTP server logs. They did say, however, that we should be receiving any bounced messages for these auto-emails at the ‘From’ email address that is specified for each of the auto-email templates. However, we do not seem to receive any bounced messages as such there.
Can you please tell us:
1. Do you have any idea why we wouldn’t receive bounced messages (when they occur) for the auto-reply emails, at the ‘From’ email address specified?
2. Do you happen to know if moving the email system to either G Suite or Microsoft Exchange would allow for tracking eMember bouncebacks via the SMTP server logs (or tracking such bouncebacks some other way)?
clearscopedesignParticipantCan you please just clarify for us:
When using the MailChimp AutoResponder, ALL new members who create an account via a registration form will be added to MailChimp, is that correct?
Is it possible to allow for an ‘opt-out’ option for the MailChimp signup within the registration forms?
December 23, 2016 at 6:31 am in reply to: eStore – is it possible to customize the text for Download Now button? #70604clearscopedesignParticipantWe just received your notice via email that the plugin has been updated to include this functionality, and we have updated to the new version and it works great!
Thank you for implementing this!!!
It works perfectly and we can now specify custom text for the download button from within the shortcode, while still keeping all materials fully encrypted.
Many thanks for adding in this functionality, it is truly appreciated!!!
December 14, 2016 at 7:47 am in reply to: eStore – is it possible to customize the text for Download Now button? #70602clearscopedesignParticipantThank you for the explanation.
While we understand what you are saying and that only a ‘Dishonest Paid Member’ would be sharing the links, the concern is that if the links are sharable, then they are not really fully protected (yes as you say the files themselves could always be shared, but part of the reason that we use eStore here and for these purposes is for the encryption).
The ideal solution would definitely be to just be able to specify the text for the encrypted download now button from within the shortcode.
I have now submitted the quote form as directed above.
Thank you!
December 3, 2016 at 1:21 am in reply to: eStore – is it possible to customize the text for Download Now button? #70599clearscopedesignParticipantYes exactly – our download items are all free. Our download items are only available to members and our membership fee includes access to the download materials, so members do not pay anything or make any purchase when downloading the files.
We have always used eStore and the encrypted download buttons so that the links to the materials are encrypted and so that the links cannot be shared across the web or via email.
But the plugin offered here generates HTML links which can then be shared – and it seems that you can even access them without being logged-in to the member section, all of which means that those materials are no longer protected.
How can we customize the button text (without having to use an image), while still keeping our materials encrypted and keeping it so that the links to the materials cannot be shared?
December 1, 2016 at 12:40 am in reply to: eStore – is it possible to customize the text for Download Now button? #70596clearscopedesignParticipantThat seems like it would solve the text issue.
However, from what we can gather here, the HTML links that are created as such with the addon could be shared or sent via email (and they seem to also be ‘usable’ without even being logged-in to the member section).
What is to prevent those HTML links from being copied and shared?
November 30, 2016 at 5:33 am in reply to: eStore – is it possible to customize the text for Download Now button? #70592clearscopedesignParticipantIs there any chance that you could just add the functionality for using an attribute in the button shortcode to specify the desired button text?
For example: [wp_eStore_download_now_button id=261 text=”Custom button text”]
We are in dire need of being able to use a variety of different text for our download buttons, and having to create images for each of them is just not very manageable or sustainable.
November 2, 2016 at 9:45 pm in reply to: Paypal renewal error ('This transaction is invalid') #74273clearscopedesignParticipantHere is an update:
I have done some additional testing and was able to duplicate the issue multiple times in a row in Google Chrome. However, at the same interval, I was NOT able to duplicate the issue in Firefox or Safari.
November 2, 2016 at 2:15 am in reply to: Paypal renewal error ('This transaction is invalid') #74272clearscopedesignParticipantCould you please email me directly and I will share an account login for the member section via email?
Also, just to clarify – we are not able to duplicate the issue at will, so it is not guaranteed that you would see the problem when you test it (usually it works fine, but sometimes it does not and the error appears).
Please if you can send me a direct email I will share the access info there…
November 1, 2016 at 5:36 am in reply to: Paypal renewal error ('This transaction is invalid') #74270clearscopedesignParticipantAnd yes, this is the same site that you have referenced from the other thread…
November 1, 2016 at 5:10 am in reply to: Paypal renewal error ('This transaction is invalid') #74269clearscopedesignParticipantSorry for the delay – things must have been working fine for a while as I did not receive any additional reports of errors until recently.
This past week, however, it has been reported that we have received a flurry of requests from members to pay via invoice as the PayPal option is not working for them.
This is happening for member renewals (who would all be logged-in). I cannot confirm whether it is also happening for new account purchases (which would be not logged-in), since most of our new accounts are given with a complimentary period.
This is fairly urgent for us as the problem seems to be occurring for many members who are attempting to renew their accounts.
