December 11, 2021 at 9:28 am in reply to: How to customize bbPress default error message for non-logged in users? #83975angelfire4xxParticipant
It took a while but I eventually found the right post in the bbpress help forum. The modified bbpress template file has to be uploaded to the bbpress directory of the Theme. If the theme doesn’t have a bbpress directory you have to create one.
Thanks for confirming that eMember didn’t cause the problem. Your answer prompted me to keep searching. I hope this post helps others.December 11, 2021 at 8:33 am in reply to: How to customize bbPress default error message for non-logged in users? #83974angelfire4xxParticipantYes, the modification date showed that the file was changed again after I had modified it.

No.Thanks for the suggestion but I don’t see how it can be a caching issue when the amended message appeared ok at the front end when first tested. Also, the template file itself reverted to the original default text.
November 16, 2021 at 9:47 am in reply to: eMember – Broadcast eMail – unable to select members, fails to send #83935angelfire4xxParticipantThanks for your reply, I appreciate that. But if you can’t reproduce the fault on your system, then I probably have a plugin conflict on mine. I’m a bit nervous of letting anyone else into my admin, as I’m not a developer and the site has been a lot of work! The email broadcast feature is not so essential for my setup but if you can identify and fix any potential bugs yourself it would be great to have the feature working. I have WordPress 5.8.2. Some potential conflict plugins are WP Mail SMTP, WP Fusion, Manage Notification E-mails.
angelfire4xxParticipantI tried this and got a critical site error.

I did try, but it won’t save any that I select unless they are all from the same page. That is not part of the failure to send. I was trying to say that it fails to send regardless of how the IDs are entered. I don’t mind entering the IDs manually. Here’s the debug log for a test I did today. Sent to user IDs 2,5,31
All those are my own email addresses. None of them were received.

Value of mail_sent var :0November 6, 2021 at 12:09 pm in reply to: eMember – Broadcast eMail – unable to select members, fails to send #83898angelfire4xxParticipantI did as you said today, deleted the plugin, downloaded it again from your site and re-installed. Same problems. I can select individuals, but only if they are all on the same page of the members list that eMember brings up. I can also enter member IDs manually in the box, comma-separated. But whichever method I use, the email message is not sent and members do not receive it.
Would be great if these problems could be fixed!November 6, 2021 at 3:24 am in reply to: eMember – Broadcast eMail – unable to select members, fails to send #83896angelfire4xxParticipantI downloaded it only a few weeks ago. Has it been updated that recently?
November 5, 2021 at 4:48 am in reply to: eMember – Broadcast eMail – unable to select members, fails to send #83885angelfire4xxParticipantAny plans to fix this add-on? I would find the “send to selected individuals” (e.g. 2,35,9) very useful but it doesn’t work. I am using WordPress 5.8.1.

October 25, 2021 at 4:56 am in reply to: How to resend “your registration is now complete” email to new member? #83850angelfire4xxParticipantHi and thanks, but I thought my question was clearly not about that. Please could you read it again?
angelfire4xxParticipantHi, yes, I changed the shortcode method to “protected for”. I will know to do this in future, thanks.
angelfire4xxParticipantThank you!
angelfire4xxParticipantThank you!
angelfire4xxParticipantThanks but my question wasn’t about subscriptions (I have the payment Gateway bundle). It was about free members who no longer want to hear from me again. If they hit “delete account” there is no redirection to confirm that their account has been deleted. They are redirected to my home page. It’s not very satisfactory as they would normally expect some kind of confirmation.
