Hi Peter – The new zip file that you sent me has resolved the Update Cart issues! Thanks for your help! Please disregard my other question about missing item ID numbers. A repeat customer mentioned to me that they could not see the item ID numbers in their shopping cart. I assumed this was something new and possibly related to the Update Cart issue, but I understand now that item ID numbers are not supposed to appear in the cart. My mistake for thinking that was an error. All issues resolved. Thanks again!
November 9, 2016 at 11:30 pm in reply to: WP Photo Seller – Update Cart button is not updating total $ amount #74563AndiMemberAdditional note: The discount $ amount does not update. Original shopping cart had 14 items @ 4.99 each. Customer changed it to 11 items, which was refreshed at the line item level. The 10% discount should have been $5.49, but because the cart amount is not being refreshed, the cart retained the discount on the original 14 items ($6.99 off). Interestingly, the customer was only charged in PayPal for 11 photos, the correct number, however they still received the higher discount $ that was applied to the original 14 items.
AndiMemberWhen the empty file problem occurred, my version of NextGen was outdated. As my host provider was troubleshooting he suggested I disable, then update, the reactivate all applicable plugins. Now all plugins are up to date. Still have the empty file problem unless I disable NextGen. I haven’t contacted NextGen yet. But I will.
AndiMemberHi Peter,
My host provider says nothing changed on my server and they checked the log and didn’t find anything relevant, but they did determine that when they disabled my NextGen photo gallery plugin, the problem of receiving the empty file is resolved. True-I tested it.
I’ve had the NextGen plugin forever. My theme Photocrati originally came with it’s own native photo gallery (not NextGen), but I added the NextGen plugin and then I added PhotoSeller. At some point in time Photocrati took over NextGen and they use it with their themes. A customer notified me on April 19 of the problem with the digital sales (0 byte file in customer email). This was shortly after I had loaded a fresh copy of PhotoSeller. The problem could have started anytime between my last successful digital sale on March 9 and the unsuccessful digital sale on April 19. We get mostly print orders. Is the new version of PhotoSeller incompatible with NextGen? It’s not feasible for me to remove either plugin. I have faith that you will find a solution for me…
AndiMemberokay – will do. Thanks
AndiMemberokay – thanks for the heads-up about the settings…the IPN page does exist on my site and I enabled the feature in paypal, also updated the auto return in paypal, and redirected to the Thank You page in PhotoSeller settings. Tried another digital purchase and still got an empty file, but I noticed that the Thank You page message is difficult to read because the font is white and the background color is another shade of white inside the Thank You message box.
Not sure what to look for in the general server logs. Do you mean in the control panel on my host website? I didn’t see any relevant error messages, but then again, I really don’t know what to look for.
AndiMemberI will check…
AndiMemberAndiMemberIssue: digital image link in customer email brings up a blank file
Hi Peter – A customer bought some digital images today. This is the first digital sale I’ve had since I downloaded the fresh copy of photoseller about a week ago. There were no problems with the digital links prior to the reinstallation. Today, a customer selected three digital images, paid for them, and they received the email with the link. But when they clicked on the link, it was empty. I tried it and experienced the same problem. I received an email with a link to a file with the correct name of the photo, but when I opened the file there is a message saying the file is empty. This is the link. http://www.deltasportsmagazine.com/?wps_file_dl=1&id=273&duid=1329584a5d403ddd4918ce670b470f0a
In my settings, the “Set Photo Variation Default Quantity To 1” is NOT enabled so I guess it’s not the same issue as the earlier post in this thread. Also, in my case there is actually a link with a file, but the file is empty. Please advise ASAP.
Thanks,
Andi

April 13, 2015 at 8:16 am in reply to: WP Photo Seller: Feature request – watermark size consistency #65022AndiMemberI tried enlarging the watermark font to 30–too big. Tried 25–looks good. Font size 25 in the new gallery looks the same as font size 40 in the old galleries. Could you please delete my URL links from this forum? Thanks!
April 13, 2015 at 7:30 am in reply to: WP Photo Seller: Feature request – watermark size consistency #65021AndiMemberDone. I changed the font on the new gallery from my standard size of 40 to 20. The watermark looks a little too small but it is acceptable. I’m not sure why it seems to be okay now. I tried changing the font size to 20 earlier and it was way too small for the landscape pics but on the portrait pics it was still way too big. I have witnesses who will testify that the watermark was crazy (not I). . Okay–I would prefer to have the font a little bigger like it is on my old galleries but I could live with the smaller size as long as it’s consistent.
AndiMemberYou may have seen that I just submitted an issue on a different topic – my watermark is not behaving the way it used to before I installed the fresh copy of photoseller. Hope you can work your magic on that issue as well.
AndiMemberThanks Peter – yes – it worked! Thank you!
April 13, 2015 at 6:32 am in reply to: WP Photo Seller: Feature request – watermark size consistency #65019AndiMemberHi Peter – I discovered that I also have a problem with my watermark now. After installing the fresh copy of Photoseller, I created a new gallery. In the new gallery I am using the same watermark settings and same font size as I did in the old galleries, but in this new gallery the watermark appears much bigger. Even though it is bigger, it would be okay for my landscape images, but in my portrait images the watermark text is so big that the beginning and the end of my watermark gets cut off. I tried using smaller font but didn’t fix the problem on the portrait images. It seemed to make watermark an inconsistent size throughout the gallery. I tried making changes to the other watermark settings without success. I also tried deleting the gallery, resetting the watermark setting to my standard settings, clearing caches, and recreating the gallery. No luck. I checked older galleries that I created before I loaded the fresh copy of Photoseller and the watermarks on the old galleries seem to be fine. Here is a link to my new gallery #176. [http://www.deltasportsmagazine.com/photoalbums/gallery176/] The first six photos are landscape and the watermark is too big. The seventh, eighth, ninth pics are portrait and the watermark gets cut off. As I mentioned, reducing the font size in the settings didn’t fix the problem. Here is a link to an old gallery with the same watermark settings [http://www.deltasportsmagazine.com/gallery163/] The first pic is landscape and the second pic is portrait. The watermark looks fine in the old gallery #163. Thanks in advance…
