ParticipantIt will always record the join date of the primary membership level. A member can have only one primary level. So in your example if the member’s primary level is A then the join date will be the one for that level. If his primary level is B then the join date will be the one for level B.

ParticipantWell it turned out that the other user did not follow this instruction in the first place so we were trying to fix something that wasn’t the issue:
Do you have those checkboxes checked in the eMember settings?
amin007
Participant“Yes I have that setting checked off” <<<< This is the issue right here.
This means eMember is not creating the WordPress user (because you are not telling it to do so). If eMember does not create the WordPress user then how will the simplepress forum give access to the user that does not exists?
Remember, eMember creates its own database so that user is different from the regular WordPress user. So if you want to use another WordPress plugin that uses the default WordPress users you need to check the “Automatically Create WordPress User” checkbox.
Now, that solves the mystery of why this work working for others (we didn’t need to do that change in the first place).
Whenever you want to integrate eMember with a WordPress plugin that uses WordPress roles you just need to follow this documentation:

ParticipantThe way it works is the following:
You configure your products in eStore to sell on your site then you use the affiliate plugin to promote those products
The eStore and affiliate plugin are connected by default. All you need to do is create text links or banners ads for the eStore products that you want your affiliates to promote (not the other way around). You can have multiple text links or banner ads per products (your products are configured in the eCommerce plugin).

ParticipantPlease, run a test transaction with the debug option enabled and it will reveal the issue:

ParticipantI added the option so coupons will also be counted for manual checkout if you have the “Automatically Update Customer & Products Database” option checked for manual checkout. Please get a new build of eStore from here:

ParticipantThat doesn’t make sense. Something else has to be wrong here (I know that there are customer’s who are using the simplepress and eMember plugin together).
Do you have the following checkboxes checked in eMember’s settings menu?
Automatically Create WordPress User

ParticipantThe custom field names cannot be the same as the implementation for this is not straight forward.
June 23, 2011 at 3:08 am in reply to: How to Make Add to Cart button go to Checkout from separate PHP page #33651amin007
ParticipantThe plugin won’t be able to add the product to the shopping cart on this page as it is not part of the WordPress installation. What you might want to do is make the “Add to Cart” button take the visitor to a WordPress page where he/she can actually add the item to the cart.
You can specify a URL to go to when the “add to cart” for a product is clicked in the “Button Redirect Target URL” field of that product. All this will do is send the visitor to that URL when the button is clicked. You can also use the following technique so when the user clicks on the button it will actually go to the specified URL and add the item to the cart:

ParticipantLooks good.. Working fine for me.

ParticipantThis is a shocker… I hope too many people did not upgrade to this fake version of W3 Total Cache (it is a good idea to wait a few days after an upgrade is available before actually upgrading on your live site)
amin007
ParticipantThe the auto membership upgrade feature will always work based on the Primary membership level (it won’t care what secondary levels the member may or may not have). This is the only way to keep it linear.
