I created 2 custom fields, enabled “Enable Custom Fields:” and they do show up on the user registration page. After registering, the section where the custom field should be is visible if you try to edit the members profile, but their original form data isn’t saved.
I checked out the mysql db and don’t actually see the custom field listed in the emember_members_tbl however I’m not 100% sure that’s where they would be located once created.
June 11, 2011 at 6:36 pm #33273Ulich05MemberThis may have been an intermittent issue. I registered another account and fields are populating correctly.
June 15, 2011 at 5:33 am #33274pulldMemberI’ve added a couple of check boxes and text fields using the custom fields. When filling out the form, the custom fields do not get saved, but what’s worse, Phone Number, Address, City, and the Custom Fields don’t show up under the members info. What gives?
I’ve registered numerous accounts, and the I’ve even tried making the phone number required — still doesn’t get captured. Help!
June 15, 2011 at 12:39 pm #33275pulldMemberOn re-reading my post — I realize this isn’t very helpful. Here’s what is happening.
Plugin works fine. Only problem I am encountering is when the user pays (using Paypal Pay Now button) and receives the email to register, they click on the link to fill out the form. They fill it out, hit register, and they get the success message and email.
Username, password, are the only data that gets saved. When I log into the system to look at the info, Phone Number, Address, City and all Custom Fields do not get written to the member info. If the member logs in, then re-enters the information on the profile page (eMember’s not WP) the data gets saved, but I really need the information to be captured the first time.
Love the plugin, its just this detail that’s got me a little frustrated. I’m sorry for the tone of my first post, I really didn’t mean to be a jerk about it.
June 16, 2011 at 12:15 am #33276amin007ParticipantI have sent you an email to get site access so I can check it out.
June 17, 2011 at 2:15 am #33277laughingbuddhaMemberI am also having this problem whereby the custom fields are created and users can add data into the custom field and it saves, but updating custom fields causes them to break. Sometime the data is updated in the database but doesn’t display in the user account page, in other case the data doesn’t update.
June 17, 2011 at 6:11 am #33278amin007Participant@laughingbuddha, What version of eMember and WordPress do you have?
June 18, 2011 at 1:47 am #33279IvyMemberI had a look at your site I believe an update should fix your issue. I have sent you a fresh copy of the plugin to upload to your site. Let me know how it goes.
June 18, 2011 at 9:58 am #33280randycurry74346MemberHi Ivy,
Randy Curry here again. I sent you an email yesterday about the eMember plugin I installed at another of my websites at http://Curry-HughesMusicTrivia.com. It’s doing the same thing as it when I installed it at: http://KeepMusicAlive.org – It’s not showing any pages, posts, comments, etc., on the Manage Protection section.
Please let me know why it keeps doing this every time I try to load the eMember program to another of my sites.
Could you look into it for me. My email address is: randycurry74346@gmail.com if you need to contact me.
Thanks!
Randy Curry

June 21, 2011 at 2:41 am #33282laughingbuddhaMemberHi Ivy and amin, I didn’t receive any emails or a new copy of the plugin. I have changed my email address in this forum in case they were spam filtered. I am using WP v3.1 and eMembers v6.3.3. Could you please resend the new copy of the plugin, and is there a place do download new versions from?
Thanks
June 21, 2011 at 10:37 pm #33283amin007ParticipantYou can download a fresh and recent build of the plugins that you purchased from here:

Let me know how you go.
June 23, 2011 at 2:17 am #33284laughingbuddhaMemberHi amin, I installed the update and it seems to be working. There is still an issue if two custom fields are given the same name, the database array only saves one. Ideally if two have the same name the plugin should vary the ID of the second one so they are both saved in the array, e.g. details, details_1
I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the support.
June 23, 2011 at 3:36 am #33285amin007ParticipantThe custom field names cannot be the same as the implementation for this is not straight forward.
