July 8, 2011 at 12:32 am in reply to: Is it possible to set up more than one paypal accounts to receive money? #34018winningMemberI set up a page to try the “Buy Now” button on this page http://bit.ly/pYWSHt where I put 4 short codes: first one is a Add to Cart short code and the remaining 3 are different short codes for Buy Now.
1. It seems all 3 “Buy Now” button short codes do not show “custom specified price” field although the “Add to Cart” button shows the “Your Price” field fine. Did I do something wrong? How to allow customers to specify a price for Buy Now button?
2. Short code: [wp_eStore_buy_now:product_id:3:end] only shows the button without the product name, price, and description on the test page above. Is this the way it should be or I missed anything here? The tutorial/demo shows the following product details for this code:
http://screencast.com/t/F2hF0mJh1
Here is tutorial page: http://bit.ly/pkTMIm
This is not a problem, I’m just trying to understand why I do not see the same thing when I use the same code [wp_eStore_buy_now:product_id:PRODUCT_ID:end].
Thank you for your time. I am getting very close now – almost there
Really appreciate your team’s wonderful work done for this plugin. It can do soooooo much! There should be an award for this
July 7, 2011 at 1:56 pm in reply to: Is it possible to set up more than one paypal accounts to receive money? #34017winningMemberSorry I didn’t describe it well. I do not need a typical market place and I do not want other users to set up their own products by themselves.
I will set up each product for sale, not them. They just need to provide me their paypal account email and their product/service description text.
In summary: I just want these users to get paid directly by PayPal, and at the same time, my website will have a record of the successful transaction (so I can bill them later for a percentage of the transaction amount as the fee).
It is great that “Buy Now” allows me to specify a different paypal email I didn’t know that.
Does “Buy Now” allow the follow 2 features to be enabled at the same time?
1. Allow Customers to Specify a Price
2. Product Variation 1 with price options
May 27, 2011 at 3:52 am in reply to: Possible to stay at shopping cart anchor #wp_cart_anchor after applying coupon? #32860winningMemberWhat I saw on the left cornet status bar is “Done”, and I didn’t see the yellow warning. Here the screenshot of the IE7:
http://screencast.com/t/TQHz1V9ff4
I tried it on another new PC with IE8, same result.
I also recorded the page in action, the first time after I applied the coupon, it went back to the anchor; but starting from the second, and the third time I tried, it went to the top of the page, you can see the anchor in the URL is gone, and I didn’t see the yellow warning.
Video:

Hopefully, we can find out what is the problem of my website.
Thanks!
May 26, 2011 at 4:36 am in reply to: Possible to stay at shopping cart anchor #wp_cart_anchor after applying coupon? #32858winningMemberhttp://www.winningwebprojects (dot) com/wp3p1/online-store/
I am using IE.
Try to enter a random coupon code 2 to 3 times, somehow it just lost the anchor in the URL (the very first time was fine). you can also see this when pointing to the “apply” button, at the beginning, it shows http://www.domainname.com/…/online-store/#…., later the #…. disappeared.
If you want to try a real coupon code, please use “test” without the quote “”.
Thanks a lot for your help
winningMemberThanks a lots for making this plugin even better day after day. Love this plugin so much

All the above log was for PayPal check out. Does it look normal?
I will try authorize.net and report the log here.
winningMemberI did a real PayPal checkout and saw the following message in the debug log (I copied all text in eStore_post_payment_debug.log), and it did not mention anything about the notify email or paypal, although both buyer and seller got the email. I have not yet tried authorize.net. It seems my log is much shorter than those posted in the forum. What should I do now? Thanks!

winningMemberDo you know some common errors that could cause “the verification fails” from authorize.net? If I have that list, I can add those to my “Cancel URL” page to ask my customer to check themsevles. For example,
Sorry the transation didn’t go through. Please check one of the common reasons listed below and try again. If you have any question, please contact us at #phone number here.
Common reasons:
1. You have entered an American Express credit card. Sorry, we do not accept American Express, please try to add the product to shopping card and check out with another card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, …
2. The credit card information is not corrent, such as card number, billing address, expiration date …
3. …
Something like that.
Question: when authorize.net does not valide the transation, will the shopping card be emptied by default and the customer need to “add to cart” again? Or all the items are still saved in shopping card if the customer go to the shopping card page?
Thanks!
winningMemberSorry, I missed one email. So here is the correction of my question:
WordPress email after purchase on my website summary:
PayPal – Both seller and buyer receive WordPress’ emails: “Notification of product sale” for seller, and “Thank you for the purchase” for buyer.
Authorize.net – seller does NOT receive the WordPress email, but buyer does.
Is this the way it should be? – seller not receiving the email “Notification of product sale” from my WordPress site if customers checkout with Authorize.net.
What should I do if the ecommerce plugin should send out emails to seller after authorize.net payment? Why the site reacts differently when different payment gateway (paypal vs. authorize.net) is used? What may I have missed in the settings?
Thank you very much for your help.
winningMemberHere is the official explaination:
http://developer.authorize.net/tools/responsereasoncode
Enter your error code, which is 14
Posting a link to another post where another user had this same error and fixed it by correcting the authorize.net merchant settings:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/authorizenet-redirect-error
winningMemberTry this, which helped me get rid of the error code 14
Add a Reture URL in the ecommerce plugin setting page (MUST HAVE)
Log in to authorize.net, and clike settings, you will see this screen:
Click “Response/Receipt URL”, and you will see this:
Click add URL
Add either the new site’s home URL OR the Reture URL you set above. Clean your browser cache and go to your check out page and try it.
(either… or … means one of them should work, if you try one, say Home URL, and you still see the error, clean your brower cache, and try again, if still see the error 14, try the other URL)
Good luck!
March 15, 2011 at 2:29 am in reply to: Why the affiliate signup Welcome email doesn't show the Login URL? #30137winningMemberThank you amin007. Problem resolved. It is reason #2. So, the “Affiliate Login URL” field is required! I thought it’s optional – leaving is blank may mean just to use the default URL…but it seems not the case. Thank you!
winningMember@all
A plugin can do the very last step (step four) listed in dlusionz’s post above – a QR code linked to the back end via smartphone, so someone can mark the gift card being used. Here is the link:
http://www.suburbanmedia.net/wordpress-plugins/wp-gift-cert
It would be very nice that all three developers (WP estore, voucherpress, and wp-gift-cert) can work together and make this a killing plugin for us We need this for a long long while… and will never mind to pay for it…
