Fixed it – it was my error. The was one extra link on the page I hadn’t noticed that was linking back to the old website.
All sorted now. Many thanks,
Willis
WillisMemberI’ve check these and it doesn’t seem like the issue is there.
Where can I find where the database for eMember is defined in the website files. I believe the settings there may have the old database in, as when I try to add a test member using an specific email not previously used with this site but which was used on the old site, the system tells the email address is already taken – which means it must be still populating the other database. (This may have been caused by me original uploading the old website files and the loading a fresh copy of emember, as the load was not compete.)

October 15, 2012 at 8:01 am in reply to: Debug Log FAILURE : Connection to www.paypal.com failed. fsockopen error no #50362WillisMemberI’m using the eStore version 6.9.1.7 – I uploaded the up-to-date version a few days ago, as there were problems with purchases not triggering the customer digital download email or registering in the stats, although customers had received Paypal confirmation of payments. I checked the Debug at that point and it all came out as ‘SUCCESS’, but I found that the ‘download, php’ file was not being located properly. I resolved that issue with this fresh upload, but now it seems to being referring to a Paypal connection problem?

September 6, 2012 at 11:48 am in reply to: Variation Price [+£5] Issue – just a thought that might work? #48892WillisMemberThank you very much for this update. It’s great that it now updates the ‘Price’.
Is it possible to remove the [+£5] part in the squared brackets from the select dropdown? That bit is very confusing for customers, as they keep asking is that amount in addition to the price. If it has to be there for the purposes of the calculation, is it possible to disguise it in CSS by making the text the same colour as the background?

Could you let me know roughly when it will work for Fancy10, as that’s the one I want to use it with.
Many thanks.
February 10, 2012 at 9:39 pm in reply to: Customer Orders 'Download' Video But Link Is 'Pay Per View' Version #41706WillisMemberI’ve filled in the form this morning – hopefully you’ve received that now. Look forward to hearing from you on this.
February 10, 2012 at 1:40 am in reply to: Customer Orders 'Download' Video But Link Is 'Pay Per View' Version #41704WillisMemberOK, I’ve done the fresh build (and although it said it would keep settings it has slightly thrown our the positioning of the two buttons – ‘Pay Per View’ & ‘Download’ – they were previously level). Anyway, the new build of estore is activated.
The short codes I have used are from the Extra Shortcodes list – including the recently updated version. The HTML code for my page is below for reference – then I did some adjustments to the CSS file to make the style suitable and the two ‘products’ look as if they are coming from the same box.
Let me know what you think may be causing this.
Regards,
Paul

</p>February 9, 2012 at 12:41 am in reply to: Customer Orders 'Download' Video But Link Is 'Pay Per View' Version #41702WillisMemberThanks for your reply.
1. [wp_eStore_fancy9 id=8]
2. eStore Version v5.6.3 is showing in my PlugIn Menu as the activated version.
3. page http://www.home-exercise-rehab.com
It’s the ‘download’ button that is causing problems (it send a link which shows a PPV version of the video, even though the email clearly states it’s a ‘download’), but only when the customer selects one of the ‘variable’ (MOV/FLV/MP4) versions that are not the specific file version detailed in the Digital Product URL box (which I have entered only one URL to one file in (even though there are three variables available) – which I believe is the correct way of doing this.
If you need more info, just let me know.
February 7, 2012 at 9:44 pm in reply to: Customer Orders 'Download' Video But Link Is 'Pay Per View' Version #41700WillisMemberI have set them up as different products, i.e. product ID 1 is the ‘Pay Par View’ option, then product ID 8 is the ‘Download’ option for the same video. I then placed them both (with other videos) on the same page and used CSS to push them close together, so they just look like they are from the same.
From my understanding that is ok to do – it doesn’t need to be on a separate page (am I understanding this correctly?). I which case the set-up is fine with that side of things. The issue is more relating to the downloading of the video files, there seems to be an issue with the ‘download’ option when people order anything other than the exact file detailed in the Digital Product URL box – i.e., if they order one of the other ‘variable’ options available.
