Hello, I’m pretty sure I fixed the main shopping cart problem. I did this by going to “Pages” in WordPress, choosing the Car(checkout) page, and then “reverting to saved” for the Cart page to a point months ago (the last time the Cart page was tested to be working). Yeah! – Now, when a product is added to the cart, the cart-checkout page automatically opens, the new large PayPal button is there, the coupons are working, the “empty cart” button empties the cart and the product sale goes through.
The only issue now is that when viewed on a mobile device, the cart page doesn’t show the “quantity” and “total” fields – they are off the right side of the screen. Can you please let me know how to fix the cart page resizing on a mobile device? theabcd.com/checkout/ thank you, Steve
stevecarrSpectatorI also noticed the shopping cart-checkout page at https://theabcd.com/checkout/ does not resize properly for mobile view. The “quantity” and “total” amount fields are off the right side of the mobile device’s screen. I don’t know if this just started because of the larger PayPal button, or if it’s been like this for a while. But I need to get my cart-checkout page fixed. Please help. Thank you, Steve
stevecarrSpectatorwzp -Thank you – I just cleared Chrome’s image cache and the new, larger PayPal button is there. Unfortunately, something happened to the shopping cart page. After I enter a test product into the cart, I cant remove it, nor can I apply a discount code to it. When I click purchase I get an alert pop-up that says “your cart is empty” which leads to an article about PHP problems. The day I changed the button, I also re-wrote some of the text describing the purchase process. Did making the yellow button bigger or changing the buyer’s instructions cause the cart to be broken? Should I upload the old, smaller yellow PayPal button? Please let me know what I should do to make the coupons and empty cart buttons work again. A test product can be loaded into a the cart here: theabcd.com/courses/ Thank you, Steve
October 3, 2018 at 6:01 am in reply to: "Add to Cart" click not redirecting customer to Cart checkout page #78606stevecarrSpectatorHello, I disabled Ajax again and it’s now working (when “Add to Cart” is clicked, the Cart-checkout page opens up). When I did this earlier, it’s possible that I didn’t hit the WP “update” button. Sorry for any extra hassle. Thank you for the tech support. Steve

May 26, 2018 at 7:00 pm in reply to: Manual order form checkout error: Error! City, State, Country data is missing! #77890stevecarrSpectatorAdmin – Thank you for the helpful information. I followed the instructions and it works EXCEPT the “wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form” is not fully communicating back and forth with the GetResponse email system. Meaning, the test email I used was captured by GetResponse, but I was able to use the same email multiple times. In contrast, when I used the GetResponse squeeze form, if I tried to use the same email, the GetResponse form would pop-up a red colored alert stating “That email address has already been used.” How do I change the WP eStore system so it knows that it already sent the email to GetResponse? The WP eStore squeeze is accessible through the “Download Page” button here: theabcd.com Thanks again, Steve
May 25, 2018 at 11:28 pm in reply to: Manual order form checkout error: Error! City, State, Country data is missing! #77888stevecarrSpectatorWZP, Thank you for the response. The digital products on my site are not free. However, I need the ability to provide some people with a way to get a copy of any of the products for free (via WP eStore coupons). It seems that when a coupon results in a zero Cart balance, the manual checkout form automatically pops up and the customer has to enter their city state and country, otherwise there is an error from Google analytics. I looked at the wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form and video. I did not see how it can bypass the manual checkout form. Do you have any info or links that show how to accomplish such a $0 balance Cart transaction? (without requiring the manual check out form). Please note: My 34 products total 15 gig of disc space. Thank you, Steve
May 24, 2018 at 11:09 am in reply to: Manual order form checkout error: Error! City, State, Country data is missing! #77886stevecarrSpectatorI am using an email list sign-up form from GetResponse. After a customer enters their name and email, clicking the Download button on sign-up the form takes them to a page on my site where they can select one product (out of the two available) to download for free. That product is then in the Cart. The price of the product is $5.98, so the download page includes a coupon code that the customer applies in the Cart to make the Cart be $0 instead of $5.98. After clicking Checkout, the Manual Order Form then pops up. The email list sign-up form can be seen here: theabcd.com thank you for your assistance, Steve

January 12, 2018 at 11:08 pm in reply to: Coupon redemption limit is not working when the cart amount is $0 #77090stevecarrSpectatorThank you Key Master! Checking “Automatically Update Customer & Products Database” fixed the situation – the redemption count now registers products that were free due to a coupon.
BTW, I did previously read:
WP eStore's Manual/Offline Checkout Methods (how manual checkout works)
but it specifically says that button should *not* be checked. Maybe Tips&Tricks could add a sentence to the effect of “this button should be checked for manual shopping cart checkouts where the balance is $0” ? Thanks again, Steve

January 4, 2018 at 1:25 am in reply to: Help please – I messed up my manual checkout page (and other eStore pages) #77006stevecarrSpectatorI searched my pages for “manual_checkout” and I have no pages in my WordPress admin panel with “manual” or “checkout” in the name. How do I find that page so that I can edit it? Thank you

Hopefully that – and your previous suggestions – will cover the governing laws aspect. Thanks again
