I’ve downloaded and installed a fresh update of the plugin. I am not using any cacheing plugin on the site. The problem remains…
Let me describe the problem: the member logs in and go to a members-only area; he/she then selects a post to go to which is restricted to members (but that member can access). He/she is prompted to log in again (he/she sees the page that someone would see who had not logged in and that includes the line ‘Please login to see this content. Not a member? Join today!))
The member first reporting the issue to me noted he did not have a problem when he used it the previous day.
I had the same problem this afternoon when I logged in via wordpress (not eMember) and then went to read a page that is restricted access to members (but I have access to). I had to log in via eMember to access but then all was fine.
I have changed NONE of the settings in eMember and I myself did not have this problem this morning (before I updated the plugin).
Any assistance you can give would be welcome.
stellapolarisMemberI am having the same problem on my site today, first time it has happened.
stellapolarisMemberThanks for your help.
January 15, 2015 at 4:49 am in reply to: adding terms and conditions checkbox as part of collect details with Stripe #68006stellapolarisMemberI fixed this as far as getting the T&C to display for Stripe – reconfigured the checkout settings page in the eStore settings. So this problem is sorted. Thanks Kym
stellapolarisMemberOkay – so I’ve gone back and reconfigured to specify the checkout page (and not the collect details page) in the checkout page settings and now add to cart will take me to a page where I need to select T&C to purchase and then I’m taken to the collect details for Stripe.
SO: if I used ‘add to cart’, stripe will show up. Problem sorted.
Why won’t this work for buy now?
stellapolarisMemberthe test page has an add to cart and a buy now button.
When I try with an add to cart button it takes me to the stripe collect details page. No T&C showing up. I need the purchaser to review the T&C before purchase and tick they have.
This relates to another conversation I’ve got going on this forum – if I used ‘buy now’ I get the paypal payment gateway even though I have not selected it. If I use the add to cart button I get the Stripe collect details but no must read T&C before purchase.
I used to use add to cart for paypal when I used it and it always showed the T&C to be checked.
stellapolarisMemberI used the shortcodes that come with the product and didn’t modify them. It is a buy now button. I don’t see why the button type would explain why paypal is acting as the payment gateway.
IN terms of product configuration – if the relevant product is ‘eStore’ you need to specify an email address for the relevant emails to be sent to a purchaser under the email settings in eStore. Why that would trigger the paypal option isn’t immediately apparent to me although it is the same email address for my paypal account.
I can’t see where you could put an email in the product configuration for an individual item for sale as the emails are driven from the email settings tab?
I’ve created a test page – https://subscriber.theexecutiveremunerationreporter.com.au/test-page
stellapolarisMemberSo: just to clarify – there is still a problem with Paypal being recognised as the payment gateway even though I unchecked that option.
stellapolarisMemberAlas, sharing a link to the page isn’t possible as I’ve had to disable this page so as to allow the rest of my site to be used.
The steps I’ve taken
(1) clear cookies and cache after making the change
(2) downloaded and installed a fresh version of eStore
(3) tried a transaction
(4) message I got this time was
“We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the “Ask Seller a Question” link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at paypal.com.
The email address I can’t delete is no longer the email I use for paypal but as usual with the reinstall of the plugin the previous details were retained, so the email address is still showing.
Where to now?
stellapolarisMemberThe difficulty appears to be deleting the previous paypal information – for example I’ve tried to delete the email address for my former paypal account but the plugin doesn’t appear to allow it.

I just tried this with a buy now button, T&C showing up, thank you for this.
stellapolarisMemberHello
I’m having the same issue – I only use Stripe as a payment gateway, having previously used paypal via the simple Paypal but making the obvious changes. I recently downloaded fresh links for the plugins.
The error message I got was
“Error! PayPal pro processing called for Non eStore checkout! This should not happen.”
I’ve never had a PayPay Pro account.
I’d appreciate how to fix this.
Kind regards
Kym
stellapolarisMemberHello
Have updated and this is working fine.
thank you for following up promptly with this. Much appreciated!

stellapolarisMemberHello
I’ve just updated to WP 3.7 and the WP e-Member plugin was closing off access to all my posts to members only. I had never made any of these posts member only, so clearly there is some kind of issue. I updated WP e-member this week via a download link request. It was working fine until I updated to the latest version of wordpress.
For now, I’ve deactivated e-Member as it is the only way to have my posts displaying. this means, of course, that no members can log in.
cheers
Stella P
also: I’ve just tried reinstalling the plugin after receiving a fresh upload link. Same problem.
January 7, 2013 at 11:20 pm in reply to: Emember – no aweber api integration in autoresponder setting #48060stellapolarisMemberRe the issues I’m facing – I found via my user logs that someone using myinfo.any-request-allowed.com had managed to get the authorisation code for my AWeber – as I’m not sure whether this will cause a problem or not, I’m after a new code.
