Hi,
Recently few of my members having a problem in logging in. They always say that when they are logged in and move to another page they automatically logged out. I told them to clear their web browser cookies and cache but have the same problem again. May I know how to fix it? or is there an update with the plugin?
Thanks
April 13, 2015 at 2:18 pm #69576wzpModeratorAre you using a caching plugin, on your site? Is your hosting provider using a caching solution on the server side?
April 17, 2015 at 3:36 pm #69577jmfeeMemberDo I need to disable the caching in both plugin and server side if needed?

April 21, 2015 at 4:22 pm #69580FionderSpectatorHi. I am having the same issue. My client’s website has the latest version of WordPress (automatically updated to 4.1.2 just now) and WP eMember (8.9.4). Some members are complaining to my client that they are logging in, getting to the after login page, clicking on a link to another page that is restricted access and are being asked to login again. One member took 6 attempts to reach the page he was trying to open. There are no caching plugins on the website. There is a cookies plugin (EU Cookie Directive) on the website but the member said he had checked the box to accept, which I know can be an issue. I have not been able to repeat the problem.

If that plugin is disabled, does the problem go away?

December 1, 2015 at 12:41 am #69584adminKeymasterWhat happens after you reload a fresh new copy of the plugin?

Are you using any kind of caching on your site?
December 1, 2015 at 7:41 am #69585stellapolarisMemberI’ve downloaded and installed a fresh update of the plugin. I am not using any cacheing plugin on the site. The problem remains…
Let me describe the problem: the member logs in and go to a members-only area; he/she then selects a post to go to which is restricted to members (but that member can access). He/she is prompted to log in again (he/she sees the page that someone would see who had not logged in and that includes the line ‘Please login to see this content. Not a member? Join today!))
The member first reporting the issue to me noted he did not have a problem when he used it the previous day.
I had the same problem this afternoon when I logged in via wordpress (not eMember) and then went to read a page that is restricted access to members (but I have access to). I had to log in via eMember to access but then all was fine.
I have changed NONE of the settings in eMember and I myself did not have this problem this morning (before I updated the plugin).
Any assistance you can give would be welcome.
December 1, 2015 at 10:46 pm #69586adminKeymasterI will take a look inside your site so I can check all the settings. I have sent you an email for it.
