Thanks so much for your great support! I really appreciate it.
Update: I discovered what was causing the problem this morning. Without realizing it, I had disabled Bookmarks on Posts in the General Settings Tab in eMember Manage Content Protection area. Everything seems to be working correctly now.
siteseerMemberYes, I can set up a test account, but eMember requires an email address. Do you have one I can use, or should I use my own?
siteseerMemberNo. I’m saying that…
1. The Bookmarks icon appears on my Homepage, but I checked the option to disable it on the Homepage.
2. The Bookmarks icon only appears on one post, but I checked the option to enable Bookmarks on all posts.
Weird, eh?
siteseerMemberHi – I’m having a similar problem as Linda. I have only checked 3 boxes in the settings panel…
Enable Bookmarking Feature x
x Show bookmark feature ONLY to members who are logged-in
Disable Bookmark Feature on:
x Home Page
However, the bookmarks icon DOES appear on the Homepage when a member is logged in and only shows up on ONE post.
I have tried checking and unchecking bookmark settings boxes, but nothing seems to work.

April 20, 2018 at 9:53 pm in reply to: Customers are not being moved from prospects to customers list in aWeber. #38168siteseerMemberI currently have PayPal and Aweber set-up with eMember.
If I create a new rule in Aweber with “Unsubscribe from List A when lead subscribes to List B”, will eMember automatically add subscribers to the correct Aweber list specified in the Add/Edit Membership Level after purchase?
Example:
– Prospect signs-up as a free Member and gets assigned to the associated Aweber list.
– Prospect then becomes a customer and is upgraded to a different eMember list that also corresponds with a different Aweber list.
Will eMember add the subscriber to the correct Aweber list, or is there something else I need to do?
siteseerMemberOkay. Thank you. You’ve been very helpful.
siteseerMemberHi again – Unfortunately, I got a very long error message when I tried to delete the WP eMember plugin from my site. It began: Deletion failed: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN”
Do you know why this happened or have any suggestions on what should I do now?
siteseerMemberSo, just to be sure I understand the instructions correctly, I need to…
1. Deactivate and delete the plugin from my WordPress site
2. Re-upload the eMember zip file stored on my computer
3. Re-activate the plugin
And all my settings will be retained. Is that correct?
I have eMember v9.1.9. Is this the latest version of the plugin, or should I download and install a newer version?
siteseerMember1. No. I didn’t change my theme. However, I recently updated to WordPress 4.9.5 and problems seem to start after that. I have a custom WP theme.
2. I’m using a desktop computer.
3. My browser is Windows 10.
Regarding re-installing the plugin – I read the instructions, but don’t know how to build a “test WordPress site”. So I am concerned that my members won’t be able to access content if something goes wrong with the re-install process.
siteseerMemberToday I went to edit some information in eMember but all the text scrolled up and disappeared whenever I clicked an edit button for a specific Membership level. I have v9.1.9. Trying to figure out why this is happening. I searched the forum, but didn’t find any info on this particular issue. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
siteseerMemberOkay. You’ve both been very helpful. Thanks!
siteseerMember#3. Continue having access, but at a more “restricted” level.
I checked the box next to “Allow Expired Account login” under the sub-heading “Account Upgrade and Renewal Settings” in WP eMember General Settings Menu. Next to this box it states…
“When checked members whose account has expired will be able to log into the system but won’t be able to view any protected content. This will allow them to easily renew their account by making another payment.”
Assuming this is correct… Will I receive an automated email notification from eMember if someone cancels their paid membership level?
siteseerMemberIt is small enough right now.
Aweber places a permanent unsubscribe link at the end of each email that goes out and sends notification whenever someone unsubscribes from my list. I guess I could have them fill out a manual cancellation request form, or… I could manually cancel their subscription Paypal payments after I receive an unsubscribe notification from Aweber.
If I do either of these, would the subscriber still be able to login to their member homepage on my site?
siteseerMemberYes… I read that post before contacting you. So, does that mean I should provide two unsubscribe links in my email- One link to unsubscribe from eMember (PayPal payments) & the other to unsubscribe from Aweber?
