i didnt know i was asking for a fully-fledged feature either i was hoping it was available somewhere in the options and i missed it or maybe available via an additional plugin.
i have no idea what a custom development job would cost so i hope not to waste more of your time. do you have access to my email or do i place it here?
thanks!
February 11, 2018 at 11:22 pm in reply to: Is there a way to share a gallery image on facebook, twitter, instagram? #77259rick_odMembersorry, these are not solutions. i am looking for someone who is viewing my gallery to be able to share a particular image on different social media sites. these solutions have me finding an image myself and sharing it with them directly. sorry, i dont mean for that comment to sound rude as you are making every attempt to help me so i dont want you to think i dont appreciate the suggestions.
there is no other way for the person viewing my gallery to share an image?
edit: i have right click disabled via the plugin and another plugin.
February 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm in reply to: Is there a way to share a gallery image on facebook, twitter, instagram? #77257rick_odMemberif they copy the url and share it, it gets shared as a page and not as an image. so it would have the description and pricing information under it. i am looking for the ability to share just the image. regarding the security of my images, in this case, i am encouraging the players of a high school ice hockey team to share the images i take of them. these images they may want to share are of themselves so they will not want the pricing information if the url is shared. im not concerned if they share the image with the watermark, in fact, i prefer it.
is there a way to share just the image? thanks!!
rick_odMemberthank you for your help. i will take a look at it.
rick_odMemberif i send a customer a custom link to a specific photo, are they able to buy it directly from that link? or does it just redirect them to the gallery that the picture resides in where they could then buy it? i would like the option of sending a customer a specific link for a photo purchase without having to have it in a gallery of photos.
make any sense?
thanks!
rick_odMemberbut will it also give them the pricing options from that gallery?
rick_odMemberdisregard
i found where to generate the link.
when i do generate a link, does it attach a price list to it?
thanks!

July 30, 2017 at 3:37 am in reply to: Can I require or make mandatory the Collect Customer Input field? #28905rick_odMemberdoes this code still work? i tried it today and had no success. i am interested in making the customer input field required.

May 14, 2017 at 8:35 pm in reply to: how to re-initiate process for creating zoom and watermarked images #75688rick_odMemberi found a different way. i just deleted the last image in the gallery, then re-uploaded it. that restarts the watermarking process for the entire gallery.
thanks
May 14, 2017 at 1:29 am in reply to: how to re-initiate process for creating zoom and watermarked images #75687rick_odMemberso if i have 120 images uploaded, i need to go in via FTP to see which of the ones that didnt process correctly, in this case, 40 or 50. write them all down. go into the gallery and then find those 40 or 50 and delete them, then upload them again? and then do this all over again to determine if they processed correctly?
im not trying to sound sarcastic (although it appears that way). i am just making sure i understand you correctly.
thanks!!
rick_odMemberWZP, thanks for your responce. I looked at the link you provided and it appears what that customer is asking for is a bit different. And since what i am asking for doesnt seem to exist, i guess i am making a suggestion for future releases.
What i am looking for is something that would prevent the ‘proceed to checkout’ button from showing up until the customer had enough in their cart to reach a minimum purchase set in the settings. So if the minimum were $20, and the customer only had $15 in the cart, they could not checkout. Printers have a minimum order amount and if someone were to order only a 5×7, that cost me way less than my printers miminum, i wouldnt be able to make the purchase.
Is this something that could be considered?
Thanks again
rick_odMemberi was looking at old comments on this and saw you guys suggested looking at the server error log but i cant seem to find it.
also, i selected the 82 pics to upload to this gallery and uploaded them via the traditional uploader, then left it for a few hours. 81 of the 82 uploaded. the one that didnt was an HTTP error which is an entirely different WP issue that i am also trying to deal with. when i hit save gallery, i then monitored it on the ‘gallery processing status’ page and it hangs up a little more than half way through. so it would seem as it the upload isnt the issue as much as the processing of those images once uploaded that is the issue. i view my server status as well and ;cpu usage’, ‘physical memory usage’ and ‘i/o usage’ all seem to peak and at times max out.
i do agree with you that it is the server. i just want to verify somehow before i pay for the server upgrade.
edit: even when i am trying to view the gallery i see the server resources hit close to peak.
