Is there a way to share a gallery image on facebook, twitter, instagram?

the title explains it pretty well.

is there a way for a customer who is viewing a gallery to select a single picture and share it on social media like facebook, twitter and instagram? and if it can be done, will it be shared with the watermark?

edit: i think i see the option where you can ‘facebook like’ an image but nothing to share the image.

The user can copy the URL of the details page and share it wherever he likes. If you are watermarking the images then it will use that version.

There is one thing you need to understand as to how the photo/image security works for online. If an application or a human can see your image then they can steal it. Our plugin’s main design is the protect the original image from anything. Only the customer who purchase the image gets to download a copy of the original image.

If you are not worried about someone stealing the images, then you don’t have to apply watermarking in the first place.

if they copy the url and share it, it gets shared as a page and not as an image. so it would have the description and pricing information under it. i am looking for the ability to share just the image. regarding the security of my images, in this case, i am encouraging the players of a high school ice hockey team to share the images i take of them. these images they may want to share are of themselves so they will not want the pricing information if the url is shared. im not concerned if they share the image with the watermark, in fact, i prefer it.

is there a way to share just the image? thanks!!

You can get the direct URL of the watermarked image and share that because the watermarked images are not in the protected directory.

Usually the watermarked photo will have a filename using the following naming convention:

watermark_<your_image_name>.

OR,

To get the URL you can use one of the browser developer tools like Chrome developer tools.

Right click on the watermarked image and select “inspect”. Then find the URL of the watermarked image.

sorry, these are not solutions. i am looking for someone who is viewing my gallery to be able to share a particular image on different social media sites. these solutions have me finding an image myself and sharing it with them directly. sorry, i dont mean for that comment to sound rude as you are making every attempt to help me so i dont want you to think i dont appreciate the suggestions.

there is no other way for the person viewing my gallery to share an image?

edit: i have right click disabled via the plugin and another plugin.

Ok I didn’t realise you were asking for a fully-fledged feature. I gave you a manual workaround.

Obviously the feature you are asking for is not currently available but if you are interested, I could do a custom development job for you. Let me know and I can email you and we can try to work something out.

i didnt know i was asking for a fully-fledged feature either i was hoping it was available somewhere in the options and i missed it or maybe available via an additional plugin.

i have no idea what a custom development job would cost so i hope not to waste more of your time. do you have access to my email or do i place it here?
