almost every time i upload images to a gallery (100 plus images), i get an error when the plugin is trying to create the images for zoom and watermark. when i look at the files via FTP, it appears that there are some of those images missing. is there a way to restart that process so that it will create all the images needed? im sure its a server issue but i have upgraded as high as i can go on a shared hosting plan.
thanks!
You should be able to delete any of the entries that didn’t process correctly from your gallery. Then upload those images in the gallery using the upload button. That will kick off the processing for those newly uploaded images.
so if i have 120 images uploaded, i need to go in via FTP to see which of the ones that didnt process correctly, in this case, 40 or 50. write them all down. go into the gallery and then find those 40 or 50 and delete them, then upload them again? and then do this all over again to determine if they processed correctly?
im not trying to sound sarcastic (although it appears that way). i am just making sure i understand you correctly.
thanks!!
i found a different way. i just deleted the last image in the gallery, then re-uploaded it. that restarts the watermarking process for the entire gallery.
thanks
Hi rick_od,
Thanks for the info.
Yes some servers (especially shared servers) may struggle with the creation of zoom and watermark images because this is particularly resource-intensive.
