Thanks for a prompt reply WZP.
The revenue sharing feature is helpful, but doesn’t solve my problem. Specifically, I’m trying to avoid processing the purchase. Ideally what would happen after an author signs up their book (using the revenue sharing article example) would be available on my site. When someone purchases their book the transaction would be processed through their PayPal account–not mine.
After the transaction is completed I’d be notified that an author’s book has been purchased and that I’ve earned X% of the sale. It is up to the author to send me the money.
Basically I’m after a way to keep track of my commission sales, leaving it up to the author to pay the commission from their account.
The reason I’d like to avoid taking payments directly is that what is being sold is actually a service. If I take payment for the service my level of responsibility and liability for the performance of the service increases tremendously. If the service is sub-par I’d be the responsible party since I’m the one who handled the transaction.
Is there any way to track commission sales and have the transaction go through the account of the person performing the service?
rbrassawMemberSame Here–using a fresh install of Lightbox Ultimate. When HTML is selected (both options) red text appears on post page saying that FlowPlayer needs to be activated. When FlowPlayer is activated the is shows the correct link, but nothing loads when clicked. Even tried installing the free version of FlowPlayer. Same results.
HTML player was the draw for me. Disappointed that it’s not working with YouTube. A friend said that there were issues with showing MP4s with HTML and Amazon’s S3. He figured it was Lightbox Ultimate because when he used S3 Media Maestro it worked (just without the lightbox).
Does the HTML player require FlowPlayer? If so, is the non-commercial version doable? Is the HTML player intended to work with YouTube videos?
rbrassawMemberTo eliminate the possibility of malfunctions within the system, I created a new product with the appropriate links and it too went to PayPal.
rbrassawMemberThe short codes are the same for all three (different IDs, of course).

rbrassawMemberOops! The “Button Redirect Target URL” still goes to PayPal. Cleared browser cache, checked with other browsers. The result is always the same…PayPal.
Here’s the page: [http://www.itsnevertoolatetomarry.com/its-never-too-late-to-marry/]
The button in question is for the Kindle and about 80% down the page.
rbrassawMemberThat’s cool.
Really appreciate how the plugin is well thought out.
rbrassawMemberIf you look at the ‘Buy Now’ button links higher up on the page you’ll see that I used absolute URLs, which you mention.
The point is that I used the guidelines to get the short URL. After selecting the image in the media library clicked the link to insert into post. That’s the URL that’s inserted and those are the instructions given. The shortlink does work if you copy and paste into a new tab.
Here are the directions provided by clicking the ‘more info’ link.
Uploading a file and using it is a 3 step process:
Click the upload button
Choose the file to upload which will upload that file to your media library
Finally, click the Insert into Post button, this will populate the uploaded file’s URL in the correct field.
This is useful when you want to customize the look of your payment button using a custom button image for this product.
rbrassawMemberOops! Didn’t find your reply and reposted inquiry.
The first three Buy Now buttons on the page use the absolute URL link to the image.
At the VERY bottom of the page is the Buy Now that uses the shortlink URL, which doesn’t appear except for the graphing missing box:
