Following the instructions the ‘Buy Now’ button image was uploaded to the media library. Selected the image and copied the URL link, then pasted in the appropriate section for the product. Even tried using the short link URL. Both approaches resulted in one of those empty boxes that indicates that an image belongs there but can’t be found.
Here’s an odd twist. When the element was inspected and clicking on the link to the image a page opened and the ‘Buy Now’ button image was there. Copied the link from the address bar and replaced the link that didn’t work. The difference between the two links is that the new link list every directory in the path to the image, but the new link did work and the ‘Buy Now’ button did appear.
So, why didn’t the short link work and the full blown URL did? Is it something with WordPress 4? I don’t think it’s a WP estore issue since when the image link is clicked in the Inspector it does open. Something is preventing the post from loading the image with a short URL, but have no idea what it could be.
Hopefully someone with a better understanding of WordPress can offer some assistance.
October 6, 2014 at 10:23 pm #65868wpCommerceModeratorHi, what is the URL of the image that you are using? Please provide a link to the page in question so I can take a look.

The first three Buy Now buttons on the page use the absolute URL link to the image.
At the VERY bottom of the page is the Buy Now that uses the shortlink URL, which doesn’t appear except for the graphing missing box:

Edit that product and use a direct link to an image file (example: .jpg .png etc). You can enter an image file’s URL in the browse to make sure the URL is correct before using it in the product configuration.
October 8, 2014 at 11:17 pm #65871rbrassawMemberIf you look at the ‘Buy Now’ button links higher up on the page you’ll see that I used absolute URLs, which you mention.
The point is that I used the guidelines to get the short URL. After selecting the image in the media library clicked the link to insert into post. That’s the URL that’s inserted and those are the instructions given. The shortlink does work if you copy and paste into a new tab.
Here are the directions provided by clicking the ‘more info’ link.
Uploading a file and using it is a 3 step process:
Click the upload button
Choose the file to upload which will upload that file to your media library
Finally, click the Insert into Post button, this will populate the uploaded file’s URL in the correct field.
This is useful when you want to customize the look of your payment button using a custom button image for this product.
