I actually have a community forum plugin on my site. This particular client is part of that and has a lot of information stored on her account. I’m concerned that deleting her WP User account will create a conflict with the forum plugin. Is there another option to ‘reset’ her account that might work?

If I delete the eMember account will that affect anything else, in particular the WP User information/account??
June 20, 2018 at 1:16 am in reply to: Logged Out Successfully message appearing when login in #78011jmwalker11ParticipantThanks Admin. I do have both the checkboxes ticked to automatically log into WordPress and eMember.
I then did as you suggested and changed her password in WP Users menu and again to the same password for eMember. I then tried to log in and I got the same message ‘Logged out successfully.
I also just created another membership account and tried logging in and that login was successful. So it seems to be something specific with her member account.
Any other thoughts??
June 15, 2018 at 8:43 pm in reply to: Logged Out Successfully message appearing when login in #78009jmwalker11ParticipantThat was my attempt at logging into her account from my computer. Which was the same computer/browser that I successfully logged into my own accounts.
June 15, 2018 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Logged Out Successfully message appearing when login in #78007jmwalker11ParticipantI have reset her password and tried it on my computer. I am able to login to my accounts from my computer and then her account with the same computer and web browser and it doesn’t work.
March 4, 2018 at 8:55 pm in reply to: Account status 'inactive' after second PayPal attempt to collect succeeded #77385jmwalker11ParticipantThanks wzp. It sounds like eMember was going to fix the problem so that when PayPal retried the transaction and it was successful that the membership account would switch from ‘inactive’ back to ‘active’.
The post you sent me to was 3 years old, so has that update taken place?
January 31, 2018 at 6:13 am in reply to: Buying two recurring memberships on same PayPal account #77183jmwalker11ParticipantI have two pending at the moment, but I imagine we could get a few of these every couple of months. I’m not sure I understand exactly what you are saying about chargebacks, but if you can tell me how to setup a subscription through PayPal manually I’m happy to give that a try.
What would be important is that the PayPal monthly transaction is linked to the user account so if the person gifting it cancels, the user’s account would be made inactive.
January 28, 2018 at 10:18 pm in reply to: Buying two recurring memberships on same PayPal account #77181jmwalker11ParticipantThanks WZP. Does this voucher work for a recurring PayPal payment or is it just for a one time purchase? This doesn’t seem to be addressed in the link you sent.
My customer wants to give a gift for a monthly recurring membership that would bill to her PayPal account each month. Can you tell me how this voucher would work in that instance?
January 28, 2018 at 3:02 am in reply to: Buying two recurring memberships on same PayPal account #77179jmwalker11ParticipantI see. That will work in some cases, but what if the person wanting to purchase the membership is not the person using the membership.
They wouldn’t be able to login because they don’t have the login information in order to make the payment.
Also it doesn’t work for someone who wants to purchase a membership as a gift. How do they do that when the person doesn’t have a user account yet?
Any thoughts on how to get around this? Is there a way when the item is purchased to specific which email address it should be attached to, even if that email might not be setup with a membership yet?
jmwalker11ParticipantThis is great, thank you.
I was using the following shortcode before: [wp_eStore_list_categories count=true order=3] and I would like to keep them in alphabetical order and with the count. Is there anyway to do this with the columns?
I tried a combination of these two shortcodes but nothing seemed to work.
I’m also still wondering about keeping the grey scroll bar visible even when you move the mouse away. Can you suggest some CSS code that might do that.
Thanks again!
jmwalker11ParticipantWhat if the customer did not use a PayPal account but rather a credit card? How would they go about canceling their membership then?
jmwalker11ParticipantThank you for the response. I appreciate the clarification that I need to have the PDFs stored on my site.
I would like however to have the title of my PDF be the link to download instead of having a download now button below the title. I have about 50 PDFs and I just want to list them by name so that my members can click the title of the one they want and it will download that with the stamped details.
Is that possible?
Also, I have been trying to use this shortcode: [stamper_download_button_for_wp_user file_url=”http://www.raphajourney.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/RaphaUK_Anointing-v1.0.pdf” button_text=”Download Now”], but I keep getting this error message when I click the download button: Error! The URL value is empty. Please specify a correct URL value to redirect to!
jmwalker11ParticipantI have looked at this in both Chrome and Firefox and the grey scroll bar does disappear when i move my mouse away from this widget.
Can you send me the new shortcode for the two column display?
jmwalker11ParticipantI have added in some CSS code that has helped so that I can scroll through the categories and it limits the length of the list. See the sidebar section on this page: [http://www.raphajourney.com/resources/] It is under the section Rapha Journey Resource Areas of Interest.
What I want though is to have the scroll bar in that widget not disappear when I move my mouse off it, otherwise people don’t know to scroll there to see the other categories.
I would also like these categories listed in two columns is that possible?
Does that make sense?
jmwalker11ParticipantIt is in my sidebar. I am using this shortcode in a widget:
[wp_eStore_list_categories count=true order=3]
Also I am wondering if there is anyway to make this widget or list scrollable? We are thinking that we will have 30ish categories and we don’t want them to be listed all the way down the page.
