I have only Gold 1 year memberships. Many people pay at our events in person. I tried changing the Subscription Starts field to a current date and setting the account state to active and saving and every time it justs reverts back to the old Subscription Starts date and changes it back to Expired! SOLVED this part! The member had an email that matched another member and an error was being generated but it was showing the error at the very top off the screen and not visible to me!
Still don’t understand this…..
As a test, I created a new member with a subscription start date greater than 1 year ago and it leaves this member as Active! Start date 5/2/17 expire date auto set itself to 5/2/2018 (2 days ago) but account state remained “Active”
I see a lot of question posted about this. Why not allow us to set the expiration date and have the plugin set the other dates and account state accordingly?
Greg_Salyer_13MemberI like 3 or 3.1 option however both refer to this just being registration to a free account in order to be able to purchase items. We are a non-profit membership and our products are mostly event tickets. You must be an active paid member to attend. How can I combine option 2 and option 3.1
Greg_Salyer_13MemberNever mind I figured it out! It can be done from Manage Customers if someone else happens across this message. Thanks!
Greg_Salyer_13MemberIt is one of the menu choices listed under wp eMember. I don’t see any option to post a screenshot here.
Greg_Salyer_13Member>>You should create a new membership level that has all the access and time duration as you
want it to be then assign that level to this user.<<
This is a lot of work and simply adds complexity for the 6 free members.
>>If you want to privately invite a user to a paid membership without that user having to pay,
then the following should help:<<
If I did this the membership would still expire in a single year, correct?
I have read several posts also wanting to be able to just modify a members expiration date. That would make this easy as I could just set a date way in the future for these members.
Greg_Salyer_13MemberThanks, however I don’t think these options will work for me. I neglected to state my “Gold” membership is a 1-Year membership. I was hoping that I could just edit the member to set a “Never Expires” option. I don’t want the free member to have to do anything.
