Can I return a customer to their custom registration page after they pay for a membership through eStore using PayPal?
I am trying to avoid forcing them to have to wait for the custom email link. I have had members join and somehow they provided bad email addresses so they never get the email to complete their registration.
You can add the registration completion link, to the Thank You page:
Try using our 2nd or the 3rd registration scenario where you don’t even need that step. The process flows nicely whereby the user creates a basic account then makes a payment. The payment then gets applied to the existing user profile. Please read the following documentation where it explains how to do this. See the 2nd and 3rd option from there:

We have an option for it with WP eStore plugin but I still like the above mentioned option.
If you are not satisfied with the 2nd or the 3rd option, I can look at creating a feature for the thank you page option you mentioned.
We use the same setup on our following website and I really like how smooth the user registration process is:
I like 3 or 3.1 option however both refer to this just being registration to a free account in order to be able to purchase items. We are a non-profit membership and our products are mostly event tickets. You must be an active paid member to attend. How can I combine option 2 and option 3.1
If you are using a shopping cart, they can add the paid membership and the tickets to the cart at the same time and do a checkout. All of those purchases will get applied to their existing profiles. However, you need them to be a paid member before they can purchase a product so this won’t work for you. I will look at implementing that thank you page option.
