I noted that I’ve gotten a lot of returned emails related to member signups. It seems that no recipient email address is being inserted into the email that provides the username and password.
Basically, it seems my members are signing up and not receiving their info.
I see in settings where I can set the “from” parameter. Where can I check that a recipient email address is being inserted (perhaps a template, etc.)?
Thanks!

Not sure if you getting spam bot attacks but are you using reCAPTCHA on your registration form?
October 7, 2010 at 9:47 pm #25150GraphicBassMemberTrying to make a “test” account presented a new problem.
Using the login widget, when I click “Join Us” results in this URL: http://youremployeehandbook.com/news/member-logout/.$join_url and a 404 error.
How can I fix this so I (and others) can create an account?
Thanks!

October 8, 2010 at 4:21 am #25153GraphicBassMemberOK, the update fixed the registration/log-in widget and I was able to create a test account.
I received the welcome email to the email address I entered when I registered, and then the admin notifications of sign-up. So it seems everything is working properly.
Can’t figure why emails from 10/1 were returned because of no sender, but I’ll look into it more. Any ideas you have are welcome.

October 19, 2010 at 7:37 pm #25154nocheMemberHello,
Here:
http://dev.allinpixels.com/?page_id=85
Ive created a testing registration page. I registered as I would normally do, but I never got my confirmation email.
I tried to retrieve my password with the “forgot password” on the widget, and didn’t receive an email either.
This is a test site, I installed the plugin in two of my websites and they were working well till a week ago, suddenly it stopped sending emails.
I did get the update plugin by email a month ago, so this is the latest version… I assume??

October 20, 2010 at 12:28 am #25157amin007ParticipantEmail issues are easy to address. One of the three things are probably :
1) The “Email Settings” wasn’t saved
2) The server is blocking emails sent out by a script
3) The email is going to the junk email folder
When I go to the registration page you mentioned I only see the shortcode which means eMember is not active so I couldn’t test it.
