Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I understand the shortcodes go in the post. The odd thing in this theme is that the short codes work properly when the page is displayed, but not in the excerpt of the post. The default behavior of the theme is to display the excerpt on the home page, where the shortcode doesn’t work.
Arrghh.
I can’t place it in the theme files as I don’t want it to appear everywhere in the site.
Back to the theme developer to see if I can change things so the post itself displays on the home page, rather than the excerpt.
I knew this was not a support issue for you and didn’t really expect a solution — just askin’. No blame to the plugin in my mind.
Thanks anyway.

GraphicBassMemberI purchased the Profits Theme as well. As cool as it is, I did notice many glaring shortcomings built into the theme at the expense of a smooth ecommerce flow — such as not playing nice with WP eStore. I’m having the same problem with a theme from Elegant Themes.
I’m building a test site with Profits Theme to work out just these types of payment workflow. I am loathe to give up WP estore, as it is very capable and has worked well on my other commerce site. I may end up just putting Profits Theme “on the shelf” until it catches up with the real world of Internet commerce. A $27 investment is not going to push away a payment system that works, as far as I’m concerned.
In the meantime, Flexsqueeze has many of the same options as Profits Theme, as Optimize Press is a good candidate I’ll probably end up buying and testing with the WP eStore family.
Just my $.02.

The download link is:
Deleted by admin
It’s pulling from my server rather than Amazon’s. I double-checked my AWS S3 access key and secret access key and they are correct in Add-on Settings. It also appears to be processing the link three times.
Any ideas?
gary
GraphicBassMemberOK, I’m testing the download links from S3. How can I verify that the download is coming from my S3 bucket, and not from my own server?
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberThanks, wzp, for correcting my misunderstanding about the URL for the eStore product link. I would have fouled it up for sure.
Yes, I did enter my two keys into the settings page.
Now on to test a couple of products.

GraphicBassMemberwzp, thanks for the reply.
I did set my S3 for private.
The S3 account is two years old, but I uploaded the files just recently when I realized I was filling up my wen server, and when I went to check, I saw only those odd file names I referenced in #1.
After doing a search, I discovered an application (S3Hub for Mac OSX) that lets me see all files in the bucket, including a “subbucket” or subdirectory I had made. I believe the off files were remnants of files I uploaded into the bucket root, but then changed my mind and deleted them.
I deleted the entire bucket, then created a new on for the subdirectory I wanted.
I then uploaded a test file using S3Hub, then grabbed the URL, which looked like this “Deleted by admin”. So now I have a readable URL and know what the file contains.
So from what you’re saying, after I plug this URL into the appropriate place for that product, WP eStore will convert to the proper URL with security credentials to hand off to Amazon.
Correct?
GraphicBassMemberOK, I’ll check both scenarios out. Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberYes, that’s the odd thing. The redirect is working now, when it wasn’t before. I did re-save the Settings page; perhaps that re-wrote the proper settings into the database, where they took effect.
Gremlins.
Now the problem in PC and Mac Firefox is that the login widget, when logged out, is sitting outside the right sidebar, but appears normally when logged in. OK in Mac Firefox and Safari, and PC Safari and Explorer. Seems to be a Firefox issue.
Any ideas on that one?
Thanks.

GraphicBassMember@wpCommerce: Mistyped the password. It’s testuser (same as username for simplicity).
That’s what I get for writing posts late at night.

GraphicBassMemberSorry. Specified the wrong URL for login.
The member login in page is:http://www.youremployeehandbook.com/news/member-login
That page contains this shortcode: [wp_eMember_login_form:end] Most members use the login widget on the home page,
This is very odd. The redirection is now working properly. The only change I made was to re-save the Page settings in Admin. Perhaps that reset the info in the database? Or flushed the gremlin…..
I did notice one thing: In Firefox (Mac as well as PC), the login widget is sitting to the right outside the sidebar when logged-in. When logged out, the widget is in the right place inside the sidebar.
It’s OK on Mac Safari, PC Safari, and PC Explorer.

GraphicBassMemberLogin page: [http://www.youremployeehandbook.com/news/wp-login.php]
a) User: testuser Pass: test1234 (assigned “Free Membership” level)
b) Redirect login: [http://www.youremployeehandbook.com/news/member-login-success/]
c) Yes. I also plugged the above URL into the Member Level-specific redirect without success.
Thanks. Let me know what else you might need.

GraphicBassMemberI fooled around with this and discovered I can insert HTML code into the language file (eng.php).
I also discovered I cannot add a php include() command to the language file, so I suppose if I want something more extensive, I’ll need to add it to the appropriate php file.
Good thing I have backups of all my files. I think I’m going to need them.

GraphicBassMemberPerfect — thanks!

GraphicBassMemberWorks perfectly. Thanks for your efforts to create this shortcode and help debug it. It will be quite handy in my promotional efforts!
gary
GraphicBassMemberOK, sorry about that. That’s the problem with posting late at night…
Here’s the corrected link:
http://youremployeehandbook.com/news/order-now-ask/
WP eStore version 4.9.0, which I received on 1/31 via an emailed link. I re-downloaded today and got 4.9.1, which still doesn’t work. Extra Shortcodes plugin is version 3.8.
Thoughts?
