They are very long field names:
Do you currently have a RSEA membership number?
and
If yes, please enter your membership number here:
When I follow the instructions in the other post, the questions just get printed, without the value.
So my email message in the admin area now looks like this:
Dear {first_name} {last_name}
Your registration is now complete!
Registration details:
Username: {user_name}
Password: {password}
{Do you currently have a RSEA membership number?}
{If yes, please enter your membership number here:}annibSpectatorPerfect, thank you
annibSpectatorThank you, but that didn’t work for me, it didn’t include the answers.

annibSpectatorHi,
sorry for the late reply, I somehow didn’t get notified of yours.
This will occur every time someone signs up. The organisation would like to manually approve every member.
They could just ask for people to email them in the first place and manually input them, but I tohught it would be a better process for people to set up their accounts and passwords as a free membership and wait to be checked and approved.
We are not talking thousands of members.Thanks
AnniannibSpectatorThanks, I managed to sort the bulk import out and that is now working as expected.
Thanks for your help
AnniannibSpectatorOk, so after reading some older post on the forum I can predict that you are going to ask me if I am using WP Supercache. I’m not, but I am using siteground’s SG Optimizer which has a caching function. I can’t see an option to exclude logged in users. I can exclude certain URLS, which ones should I exclude?
I hope this gets sorted soon
Thanks
AnniannibSpectatorOK, thanks. I have sorted nearly everything now, but am struggling with the dates. It won’t take subscription starts or expiry dates at all, just reverts to the 70s. However, if I open each members individually and just click save, the correct dates are saved.
Is there a trick to this? Ideally I would either input the subs start date and the membership level determines the expiry, or I input the expiry itself
annibSpectatorThank you, yes, that is the kind of thing I was thinking of doing.
Many thanks
AnniannibSpectatorMany thanks for the detailed response. This makes sense and I will be able to make a plan on transferring everyone now.
Anni
annibSpectatorOk, thanks. So there is no way for the user to change their user name via the edit profile page?
annibSpectatorOk, thanks. I will set it up that way.
Many thanks
annibSpectatorThanks, so how do I set it up that
IF (subscription length for the membership level = 1 year) AND
(renewal = June 30) THEN next expiry = June 30 of next year
i am using simple paypal buttons
thanks
