Hi,
is there a function that emails the member once their membership has been manually activated by admin?
Thanks
Anni
How often does the admin need to manually activate a membership, and under what situations does this occur?
Hi,
sorry for the late reply, I somehow didn’t get notified of yours.
This will occur every time someone signs up. The organisation would like to manually approve every member.
They could just ask for people to email them in the first place and manually input them, but I tohught it would be a better process for people to set up their accounts and passwords as a free membership and wait to be checked and approved.
We are not talking thousands of members.
Thanks
Anni
Okay. Have you been following these instructions, to do manual approvals? If you did, an “account approved” email will be sent, when the account is approved.
Perfect, thank you
They are very long field names:
Do you currently have a RSEA membership number?
and
If yes, please enter your membership number here:
When I follow the instructions in the other post, the questions just get printed, without the value.
So my email message in the admin area now looks like this:
Dear {first_name} {last_name}
Your registration is now complete!
Registration details:
Username: {user_name}
Password: {password}
{Do you currently have a RSEA membership number?}
{If yes, please enter your membership number here:}
Are you referring to the custom fields you created? Custom fields as email merge tag will not work if they have non-alphanumeric characters. Which post did you follow to create that email merge tag for your custom fields? Please post the link that you followed here so I have a reference.
