Hi, I have my membership levels set up so that renewal happens on 30. June. Unfortunately it has to be done this way, rather than having it set to 1 year.
My question is: what happens when members renew on the 30. June/ They subsrciption should now last until 30. June the next year. Does that happen automatically?
Many thanks

IF (subscription length for the membership level = 1 year) AND
(renewal = June 30) THEN next expiry = June 30 of next year
May 6, 2017 at 1:02 am #75624adminKeymasterIf you have set the membership expiry date to something like the following:
Expire After a Fixed Date – 30 June 2017
Then you are telling the plugin that no matter what, the member account must expire on that date. Members who belong to this level will expire on that date (regardless of any payment that they may make).

IF (subscription length for the membership level = 1 year) AND
(renewal = June 30) THEN next expiry = June 30 of next year

May 8, 2017 at 7:29 pm #75626wzpModeratorDo you want to keep the current model of ALL memberships expiring on exactly June 30 of every year? You’d have to create a new membership level, that is exactly the same as the current one; with the exact same page access permissions. The only difference, would be the new expiry would be after June 30 of next year. Current members would then be required to “renew,” by purchasing this new level. Those who don’t renew (by purchasing the new level) will get “left behind” when the current level expires.
May 8, 2017 at 9:45 pm #75627sahmcoloradoSpectatorI have the same setup and I will be editing the year on the expiration date on July 1st. I will make renewals available after I’ve made that change. Nobody will be able to renew until I update that, but that works fine for my site.
May 9, 2017 at 12:27 am #75628adminKeymaster@sahmcolorado, What you explained should work fine.
Just wanted to clarify that renewals can happen whenever. You can just tell the members that renew to no panic if they see the expiry date not reflecting the new payment immediately. They will see the new expiry date AFTER you have edited the membership level and specified the new expiry date.
May 10, 2017 at 12:19 pm #75629annibSpectatorOk, thanks. I will set it up that way.
Many thanks
