I setup a few subscriptions for services on my site. A few weeks ago, I successfully walked someone through getting subscribed to one of those services. Tonight, I was trying to get someone subscribed to that same service and when they try to log into the Paypal site, we got this error: “The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”
Why would it all of sudden not work? I didn’t changed any settings in WP eStore or Paypal. I know at least three people who are going to use these subscription buttons in the next few days, so I’d like to get this resolved asap.
The site is slushman.com.
The specific product in question is: http://slushman.com/services/family-hosting.

These posts may answer your question:
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid
January 4, 2012 at 3:42 pm #40247slushmanMemberThanks for responding. I have read those posts (before adding a topic of my own) and they don’t address my issue. As I stated in the OP, this subscription was working and now it’s not. I didn’t change anything, so I don’t understand what could be causing the issue. My settings for the product are correct, my Paypal info is correct, and I’m receiving payments from the first person who subscribed, so I know it did work. The question is, why is it not working now?
January 4, 2012 at 4:21 pm #40248IvyMemberThe link you sent works fine I checked this using Google Chrome. I believe what is happening is there is a bug in PayPal that causes this issue to occur sometimes, they have not been able to fix to date. To fix this issue what you need the customer to do is clear their browser cache and try the purchase again or use a different browser. This should fix the issue they are having.

Just to be clear: clicking through to purchase does take you to Paypal, but once you log into Paypal, that’s where the error message comes up. I still find it weird that this whole thing worked and now it just doesn’t.
January 9, 2012 at 6:06 am #40250adminKeymasterIf this only happens after your log into PayPal then this is definitely not connected to eStore. PayPal takes full control after the data is submitted to PayPal. I have double checked the buttons that you placed on your site and I don’t see any issue with it (if you search PayPal’s forum you will see that a lot of users faced this issue). Please contact PayPal and tell them that your merchant account is having an issue whereby after a customer logs into their PayPal account the payment page shows that error.

August 6, 2012 at 3:57 pm #40252bambizMemberI’m having the same issue.. Any ideas on how to fix?
August 6, 2012 at 11:24 pm #40253adminKeymasterPlease post a link to the page where you have your subscription button. What version of eStore and WordPress are you using? What details did you enter in the subscription area of this product?
Have you watched the subscription button creation video?
