I had another membership module enabled, I disabled it, and now all emails are send by eMember, sorry for the distraction.
January 12, 2015 at 11:55 pm in reply to: emember not sending email so new members can verify their email to complete sign #63783vconsultantSpectatorI am having a similar problem, but not for a free membership, only for a pay membership. I am just setting the plug-in up and I believe I have followed the directions/video on this.
I have set the Reference Text field to the membership level for the “Bronze” membership product set-up in eStore. I tried both putting a buynow button on the join-us page and the landing page for the product with the same results below. PayPal transaction is okay, but no email to buyer with link to complete membership registration. I don’t see how eMember gets the email address to do this, it must come from the PayPal transaction or perhaps through eStore (which got it from PayPal)?
1. Paypal sends an email to the buyer confirming the purchase
2. eStore sends an email to the buyer confirming the purchase with the product detail and my custom message for this membership product
3. no email to buyer from eMember so the buyer has paid, but has no way to register in eMember
Thanks in advance for your guidance.
WP 4.0.1
eMember 8.9.4
eStore 7.0.8
vconsultantSpectatoreStore is a great plug-in and I know it’ll help me build my business/livelihood, thanks! but I too struggle with zero cost products, which I have to provide in my industry. The squeeze form is too short (I need company, title fields on the form too). My immediate need is to provide free access to a page where the customer will stream a video. It seems the Pay Per View Logic is a really good way, but my video is a free view. Thus, running through the cart, we are stuck with the Manual Checkout and inflexible Order Confirmation form. This is a deal breaker for me. My crowd won’t fill all that in to watch a free video, plus it doesn’t integrate w/ my mailing list and the info is irrelevant for digital products. They also wouldn’t join a membership site for a one-off video. Thus, I manage these items outside of eStore ( where it’s possible to put in bogus info in my email collector form and access the content, which can then also be shared willy-nilly).
I think you have an opportunity for a paid extension to enable us to build our own manual check-out and squeeze forms. I would buy it immediately and it seems lots of people struggle with the hard coded Order Confirmation form. What do you think?
vconsultantSpectatorI’ve just struggled through this same issue, and solved it an hour ago.
In your PayPal settings:
If PDT is ON, You need to enter the token in the eStore PayPal settings.
If you turn PDT off (but Autoreturn still ON), you can leave out the token in eStore.
PDT ON (and token set in eStore) is needed if you want to return the transaction details from PayPal to your Thank You page.

Thanks for a world class plugin and fast assistance.
February 27, 2014 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Want to bypass manual check-out form – how would I complete the manual checkout? #61149vconsultantSpectatorThanks for your fast reply, I’ve uploaded version 7.0.8 no problem, but after trying lots of things (putting my form on the manual redirect page as you suggested, trying to use your eStore mailchimp integration), I am still not able to trigger the manual transaction completion (clear the cart, send the emails) unless I use your form with the “Confirm Order” button.
How would I use my form with [wp_eStore_on_page_manual_gateway_form]
My own form is created with a plug in called Mailchimp for Word Press Pro, it has an action button that sends the entered data to my Mailchimp list and can return to a page I specify (like a Thank You page or perhaps a page where I could trigger something in eStore), but I can’t trigger the “Confirm Order” function this way. (or tell eStore who the customer is, like PayPal does for paid items).
I’m looking for a way to capture custom customer fields (B2B stuff like Company and Title), shoot that to a same-structured mailchimp list, give them a free product variant they choose, and manaully check-out.
Is there a way to do that?
