I have not had any luck with that then I guess.
People have paid the upgrade and are then sent the link to complete registration.
When they click it they are sent to the form and can’t use the same username or email because it’s already taken.
I am using recurring subscriptions if that matters, and the free account is set up solely with emembers wheras the paid levels are through estore naturally.
After my members pay for the next membership level they are receiving 1 complete registration email, and 2 confirm registration emails.
I am currently just deleting peoples free accounts after they pay and letting them register again at the new level with the same username / email that they wanted.
I have just completed my site and this is the only part left unsolved. I would be happy to pay you for your time to just run through it with me on Skype so that I am completely finished. It will not take long as I have everything else working fine. (I am using wp emembers with wp estore and wp affiliates)
February 26, 2011 at 2:30 pm in reply to: Member signs up for FREE membership, then upgrades and can't register again #29545TheoSpectatorfinally if they were to delete their account this way then re-create it at the new membership level.. will this effect their affiliate account?
I am sure there is an easier way to do all this membership upgrade business and I am just missing something..
February 26, 2011 at 2:28 pm in reply to: Member signs up for FREE membership, then upgrades and can't register again #29544TheoSpectatorI also have ‘Allow WordPress Account Deletion:’ checked because I have them both created together and want them both deleted together to make this work
February 26, 2011 at 2:25 pm in reply to: Member signs up for FREE membership, then upgrades and can't register again #29543TheoSpectatorThe 1 simple solution I can think of is to get the user to delete their account from the edit profile page and then follow the link in their email to sign up for their account again at the new membership level
But .. when I ‘allow account deletion’ in the emember settings the delete link shows up on the profile page but when it is clicked I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_delete_user() in **************/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/wp_eMember1.php on line 832
February 26, 2011 at 8:01 am in reply to: When my new affiliates sign up and get their link, it is always a 404 at my site #29504TheoSpectatordamn it.. another stupid question … and I was hoping that I had it all right and would actually not waste your time
I changed the url of that page the other day and forgot.
I changed it back now and everything works fine.
If I ever did want to change the URL is it possible?
for example:
I have this page – http://electrofx.com/efx-training/
and want to change it to – http://electrofx.com/efx-access/
but in my wp affiliate settings I have been using the efx-training one as the Default Landing Page:
Do I need to stick with that since I already have over 20 affiliates signed up? or will all of the affiliate links update if I change the Default Landing Page in wp affiliate settings?
Sorry to bother you with such menial things

February 25, 2011 at 2:41 pm in reply to: When using multi level membership levels how will estore update emember levels? #29424TheoSpectatorjust give me a red card
I opened my eyes a bit more found the ‘reference text’ … and then I found a video tutorial

February 25, 2011 at 2:35 pm in reply to: When using multi level membership levels how will estore update emember levels? #29423TheoSpectatorregarding what you said though….
how does the estore payment processing know which level membership to upgrade the member to?
When I set up my estore products which are all subscriptions btw, I didn’t see anywhere where I would specify what that payment will do for the customer, so how will it know what membership level to upgrade the member to?
February 25, 2011 at 1:49 pm in reply to: Members show up on eMember dashboard but not under manage members #29418TheoSpectatorfalse alarm…. sorry
no explanation as to why but it wouldn’t work for about 10 mins then it started working
February 25, 2011 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Members show up on eMember dashboard but not under manage members #29417TheoSpectatornot working for me.
I uploaded the correct files to the correct location
I then deactivated and re-activated the plugin
Now it gets stuck at ‘loading’ on both the members and manage content protection areas
February 25, 2011 at 6:52 am in reply to: When using multi level membership levels how will estore update emember levels? #29422TheoSpectatorOK great … that simple eh
Is there someone I can pay to double check everything for me once I finish my site?
Probably won’t take long as I think I have things right but I would like an experienced person to confirm
February 24, 2011 at 4:42 pm in reply to: Members show up on eMember dashboard but not under manage members #29410TheoSpectatorIt seems the same problem is occurring in the ‘Manage Content Protection’ area
February 24, 2011 at 10:29 am in reply to: Members show up on eMember dashboard but not under manage members #29405TheoSpectatorOK, I resolved the 2nd part, I should have opened my eyes a bit.
