ok, now I get the links, but I also get a ton of this at the top of my page:

ok, folder set to 755, log file set to 777.

a lot of the php files IN the folder are 644 – is this right?

I am getting text to the log file now, and every transaction shows SUCCESS, but the links are not getting written to the Thank You page.

Debug is enabled. Check the ipn_handle_debug.log file for debug output.

I changed the file permissions and still get these errors?

I upgraded and it broke the fancy image and link still does not display on the thank you page.

ipn_handle_debug.log

has no data in it, so the errors are not getting written to it?

version 2.9.8

I tried using the most recent version (which I use successfully on another site), but it didn’t work well at all with my template, so I had to roll back.

Here is what I get when landing on the thank you page:

I have enabled debug, but the ipn_handle_debug.log file does not exist on the server – can I copy over a clean one, or is this something that is auto-generated?

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear.

I followed the video instructions for setup, but no one can signup as an affiliate. They get the error message when they go to the register page.

I unchecked it and now it works. yay!

@Matt – I wouldn’t do it – I’ve been offering VOD for 2 years now, and customers CONSTANTLY try to buy and pass the links around.

you’re right – I did not deactivate the plugin. I just installed the new files over the old. So now what do I do?
