I can finally give this a little more time.
I’ve updated everything on the site to the latest versions, just so I’d have a known starting point. This includes WPLU 2.0.9.
I don’t think it’s related to plugin conflicts, because the videos seem to work fine in some of the latest browsers, but not on others:
Windoze
– Chrome 33.0.1750 works
– Internet Exploder 9.0.8112 works
– Firefox 27.0.1 does not work – shows gray screen with encrypted URL
Macintosh
– Safari 7.0.2 Works
– Chrome 34.0.1847.50 beta does not work – shows gray screen with encrypted URL
– Firefox 27.0.1 does not work – shows gray screen with encrypted URL
Any ideas where to look next? I’ve kept the same “test page” live if you have time to look at it. That’s at [https://www.socialmarketingnoise.com/test].
If needed for debugging, I can provide an administrator account to our site.
I’d appreciate any help you can provide.

September 17, 2012 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Custom CSS for anchors not working right #48370sparkerMemberJust checking back to see if you had any idea why this isn’t working.
sparkerMemberThanks for the info. I’ll keep an eye on new releases. I realize you can’t commit to release dates, but hopefully we’re talking weeks instead of months…
Steve
sparkerMemberI apologize that I posted into the wrong forum.
Thanks!
Steve
sparkerMemberOne more quick question: Where can I find release notes for what has changed in each release?
Thanks!
Steve
sparkerMemberI agree with wanting “proactive notification” about new releases to the products I’ve purchased without me having to go look at a web page.
Can you please look into sending out notification messages (or post upgrade notices to a form we can RSS subscribe to) whenever upgrades are made? It’d make our lives a lot easier!

Thanks!

August 14, 2012 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Custom CSS for anchors not working right #48365sparkerMemberThanks, I was following some other forum posts I found, and they didn’t reference this method. I already had the CSS defined for other links, so this was an easy change. This is almost working. The only issue I have now is that the rendered “text link” isn’t obeying the font color declaration in my css. Let me know how I can send you an email with a temporary username and password to log into the site, along with a page that has the text link I’m trying to use.
In the mean time, here’s the shortcode that I’m using, followed by the style declaration for the class “nav-button”. My issue is that the text is being rendered as black instead of white.
Shortcode
<p>[wp_lightbox_ultimate_inline_content_embed class="nav-button" div_id="Workshop_help" anchor_type="text" title="" text="Need help?" source="" auto_popup="false"]</p>

And… I get the same red background if I delete the
"text="SMN Intro"
tag completely…Thanks!

August 9, 2012 at 2:53 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Inserting thumbnail image into body of paragraph text #48221sparkerMemberThat latest reply could NOT have been better timing. I was going to ask a question about this exact scenario today…
Way to anticipate my every need!!!!
Steve
sparkerMemberWow. This one slipped by as I worked on the site, and I completely forgot about it. Until now…
The problem manifests itself in IE7 and IE8. IE9 seems to work “OK” (for IE…. )
The WP Lightbox libraries I have enabled are:
– PrettyPhoto (required by HTML Overlay)
– Fancybox
– WP Lightbox Special
– Flowplayer
– HTML5
– HTML Overlay Related Settings
And by the way, you no longer need the “letmein” URL for the page. The site is now live.
If worse comes to worse, I’ll install an IE7/IE8 blocker that forces the users to upgrade, but I really don’t want to have to do this if I can avoid it.
Thanks!

June 19, 2012 at 4:25 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Descriptions aren't working for S3 protected videos #46201sparkerMemberOne quick update. The new “title” attribute works well on individual lightbox anchors, but only works for the first anchor in a gallery. If I roll over others in a gallery after the first one has popped, they never appear. I have to click somewhere outside the gallery (or on another anchor that’s not in the gallery), and then can come back to vid#2 and it’ll appear. But it’ll no longer work over vid1.
It’s like the whole gallery is being treated as the rollover trigger instead of individual videos in the gallery being treated as such.
The page in question is on a site protected by “coming soon pro” and requires a paid membership to get to. I can send you a private message with a login that will let you get at the page in question, but I’d prefer not to post it in public view (like a forum).

June 19, 2012 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Descriptions aren't working for S3 protected videos #46200sparkerMemberThat new change is what we needed and is working. Thanks for taking care of it so quickly.
And the bonus change that allows me to resize the image on the fly will REALLY help. I’ve been resizing/reuploading them manually, and never even thought to ask if you could throw that in attributes. Way to jump the gun and solve a problem I didn’t even know I had (yet)!!!!
