February 15, 2014 at 7:04 am in reply to: Lightbox fullscreen/aspect ratio problem may just be Chrome!? #60893sophie1Member
Took me a week to think of this: I uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome, now EVERYTHING works. Again, thanks for the continued support. I really appreciate it.
February 14, 2014 at 5:36 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60804sophie1MemberLast thing. Ive posted and deleted a ton of vids trying to get this right. Could you please tell me exactly which video you used? I will at least use that as my starting point in trying to get this right. Thanks alot.
February 14, 2014 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60803sophie1MemberOops. I didnt realize I won’t have a responsivee site with 1.7.4. That means Ive got to work this out eventually. But right now Ive got a few hundred videos to deal with! Thanks again.
February 14, 2014 at 3:23 am in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60800sophie1MemberI could never say you didn’t go the extra mile! I was pretty sure I had already gone through every anamorphic setting, and I used the other settings you referred to. Just gave it one more shot at those settings. Still, when I go to full screen, I get a giant rooster head. I’ve reinstalled version 1.7.4 and it works perfectly for me. I suppose there is a bug somewhere…and it’s most likely in my thinking. TYVM for following through. Moving on for now and looking forward to setting up Estore and your Affiliate plug.
February 12, 2014 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60798sophie1MemberI went back and looked at the original video clips used in this project. They are all
720×480. I have since been trying a zillion different ways of setting the aspect ratio
of the final video, which I process through Handbrake for internet optimization, and then load to amazon s3. Handbrake also has a ton of variables for doing this.
I haven’t gotten it right yet, but I do have the strange fallback of reloading an older version of Lightbox which for some reason correctly displays the aspect ratio in fullscreen. Thank you for your efforts in trying to solve this. I need to move on for now and return to it when I can. Have a good day!
February 12, 2014 at 5:13 am in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60797sophie1MemberThank you again. I’ll go ahead and make a video copy in 16:9. Almost positive(hope I’m wrong) that I checked that before. let’s see…

Aspect is 512h 288w a 16:9 ratio.
Regarding other plugins, I have tried reinstalling WP and then just loading Lightbox,
but still had the problem. Ah well. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.
February 11, 2014 at 9:14 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60792sophie1MemberHmmmm…only other thing I can think of is how I make the video. I use thelatest version of cyberlink Powerdirectsor. I take the mp4 files and put them thru Handbrake to prepare them for the internet. I’ve tried 4:3 and 16:9 settings and nothing is making any difference. Cannot think of anything else.
February 11, 2014 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60791sophie1MemberI’m using 2.0.9. Could I have wrong settings in the plug, or could there be
theme issues, or(using twentythirteeen) or OS?(using windows .
thanks

February 11, 2014 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate screen aspect ratio not displaying correctly #60787sophie1MemberBecause I thought it would be awhile b4 you could answer, I deactivated mu latest Lightbox, and installed an old version (1.7) which I use on another site (singathome.org).
It displays correctly, as you can see, with the old plugin. I apologize for my impatience!
I will now uninstall the old plug and reinstall the new one. Please take a look at it when you have a moment. Also, I see that there is no lightbox popup effect, rather, the player screen just appears. Is there something I can do to fix that? thanks again.
sophie1MemberTo answer your question, YES, I am ABSOLUTELY confusing the “Empty Cart” icon in the lower right corner for a “no items in cart” message. You’re saying that when I click the add to cart button, estore correctly displays a shopping cart icon with a red X and a rollover message that says “empty cart”? (I always thought the internet was way over my head, but now I’m sure of it.)
Anyway, thank you for clearing that up for me.
sophie1MemberI had already tried your solution before posting here, and it didnt work. I tried it again just to be sure, and it still doesnt work.
Here is my product page code:
Andrew [wp_eStore_add_to_cart id=1]
here is my checkout code:
[wp_eStore_cart]
My site is barnyardbirthday.co. I have done both things, namely, I checked the automatic redirection box in the Estore settings, and I created the separate checkout page with the above code. What could possibly be the problem? I need to resolve this and move on. Thanks.
September 19, 2012 at 8:19 am in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Bizarre mouse rollover behavior with text #49283sophie1MemberI reinstalled WP today, and after some testing, I have video playing no problem from Amazon S3 on IE8, Chrome and Firefox. So far, no “paintbrush” effect. Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it.
September 18, 2012 at 5:54 am in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Bizarre mouse rollover behavior with text #49281sophie1MemberBecause I’ve put so much time into this project and have a deadline, I am considering just copying most of my code, deleting the site, reinstalling WP and starting again. Can you at least tell me that lightbox Ultimate normally works in IE8 and Firefox? If I knew that, then I’d feel like it was worth trying. Thanks
