November 30, 2012 at 9:40 pm in reply to: Upgrading to Thesis 2 produces erroneous eMember message #51715patbloomfieldMember
Hi,
I’m upgrading from Thesis 1.85 to 2.0.x, however this is a completely new generation of the framework.
Since eMember etc all work perfectly on the scrambledegos.com website it may be worth updating that site and briefly switching to it and see if the problem exists on that that site. Maybe it’s something else causing issues on my test site.
I’ll give that a go and let you know how it goes…
November 27, 2012 at 9:48 am in reply to: Upgrading to Thesis 2 produces erroneous eMember message #51713patbloomfieldMemberHi,
Apologies for not getting back earlier.
I’ve done a complete re-install of eMember and can confirm the comment protection feature is unchecked. Unfortunately, I’m still seeing the same problem.
What should I try next?
TIA

patbloomfieldMemberWe’re based in the UK but anticipate selling worldwide, so this would be a very good feature for us to have too.
With several carts on the market that work with multiple currencies, such as TomatoCart (probably not a good example as it’s not WordPress compatible), this is a feature users start to take for granted.
I know no other products are as comprehensive as eStore with its integration with eMember and Affiliate but I keep getting asked about this feature and why we can’t have it.
Would it be possible to run a poll and find out how many eStore users would like this feature?
I’m sure many users would be prepared to make a contribution towards its development
patbloomfieldMemberThe 2nd currency only works on certain product types.
Is this feature possible in the shopping cart?
I would also find multi currency support a great feature to have, although I guess these prices would only ever be indicative.
September 11, 2012 at 8:25 pm in reply to: eStore: How to enforce a valid selection on product variation #49188patbloomfieldMemberAfter chatting this through with my business partner, we decided it’s best to stick to keeping the “Select option…” call to action as the first entry rather then being blank.
To cover all scenarios, I think the user configurable logic needs a choice between forcing one different option or a different option for all variants.
TIA
September 11, 2012 at 5:11 pm in reply to: eStore: How to enforce a valid selection on product variation #49187patbloomfieldMemberThank you for looking into forcing an option to be selected.
Initially, I did list the various options without a dummy “Select option…” option, but this caused incorrect prices as only one licensing option should be selected from the three categories. I separated the licensing categories using the different Product Variables to make it easier to purchasers to understand.
The second point I was eluding to is caused by the first option not really being an option but a message requesting an option to be selected and that message gets listed in the cart.
I’ve tried leaving the first option blank and that seems to work quite well; more obvious nothing is selected and lists as () in cart. Maybe this would also make it easier to ensure an option has been selected on check out?
An additional complication is we only expect one of the variant options to be selected, so a little more logic is needed to cover all scenarios.

July 14, 2012 at 9:55 pm in reply to: Can affiliate get commission on every sale regardless of link or banner used? #26994patbloomfieldMemberThank you. It’s a shame that something like this can’t be added to eStore as it could have several uses. Luckily we can work around this since the additional revenue sharing applies to all products and can be handled manually.
July 13, 2012 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Can affiliate get commission on every sale regardless of link or banner used? #26992patbloomfieldMemberIs there an update on this as this is exactly what I’m trying to do now?
patbloomfieldMemberPerfect, just what I needed too
I assume this will need re-programming with updates or is it possible to configure a default in the interface now?
