Just wanted to add my support to the requests of others for multiple currency support.
Like others, I would be happy to pay for this feature. I have tested the “WP Simple MultiCurrency Paypal Shopping cart” plugin and it provides the key feature of being able to view the shopping cart items/total in currencies other than the (user-selected) default currency in eStore – that’s really all I want. However, it doesn’t seem to support many of the features I really like in eStore (fancy displays, embedded mp3s, coupons) and I would prefer to only have the one plugin to maintain. Therefore, would it be possible to add the currency conversion in the eStore shopping cart, in a similar way to “WP Simple MultiCurrency Paypal Shopping cart” plugin/extension?

February 14, 2012 at 12:53 am #34504adminKeymasterThis is harder to do with eStore as it has a lot more features which adds complexity. eStore has a secondary currency display option that you can use to display the equivalent price of a product in a 2nd currency of your choice. The equivalent prices are shown in the fancy product displays.

Is this feature possible in the shopping cart?
I would also find multi currency support a great feature to have, although I guess these prices would only ever be indicative.

1. I’m finding the multicurrency addon very useful but it needs one quick (I hope!) enhancement. When one downloads a customer list, it does not distinguish between the different currencies in which different purchases were made. Please can you add a currency field to each record in the list ? Without that, I have been resorting to a combination of Excel formulas, informed guesswork and keying in info from the PayPal statement. The exchange rate used relative to the base currency would be useful to have too.
2. Is there a way (a) of downloading a partial customer list eg between 2 dates and (b) of deleting customers from the online list before a certain date ?
Many thanks for your help!
January 12, 2020 at 12:10 am #34508adminKeymasterThis is going to be difficult since the plugin doesn’t store the different currencies in the customers list. It wasn’t supposed to be a multi-currency solution at the start. So it lacks the architecture to store the multiple currency codes.
