    Peter and Ruhul,

Now I had another interesting attempt. A string of different class A IP addresses trying variations of the admin username like adm, administrator…just 1 to 3 tries each.

I had no idea at all that attempts were being made so often and I was so vulnerable!

Okay, I’ll stop pestering with how incredibly useful this plug in is!

Thank you Peter. That does answer my question.

Thanks again for the great plug in!

    LOL wzp!

Better the NSA. Who wants to be bugged by just some neighborhood hacker in his basement. At least I attract the big guns but I have you guys with bigger blaster-ray guns. Mess with me, will ya?

But now if I block that whole Class A address am I’m shutting off my site to valid users? Can’t seem to clear this question up by googling. Don’t know if it means I’m am blocking all IPs of 79.135.42.XX.

Can you help clarify? Is it a bad move a Class A address?

    Tx, Pam

I realize now that I could just make my own table so it’s not really a big deal. Just the grid category display is so nice looking…I can try to replicate it though.

    Dear Peter and Ruhul,

Thank you so much for this! I love it when you stop the creeps!

A lockdown event has occurred due to too many failed login attempts with the following user details

    Username: unknown

    IP Range: 79.135.42

    Cheers, Pam

    Hi Ruhul,

Do you foresee any effect on my TTQ plug ins if I add this line to the wp-config.php file?

    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’,true);

between the first <?php) and before /*That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging,*/)

Maybe it’s not appropriate to ask you about such things. I don’t know. Figured it’s better than asking for help AFTER I broke things.

Your data on backup and recover was very clear. After considering it I decided that I get too scatter brained to calmly recover when I break my site. So, I went to Backup Buddy.

I’m having one small difficulty with it and this is the fix they want me to apply. I am concerned about how it might affect PDF Stamper because it loops back (or something, don’t know right terminology).

    Thank you, Pam

Nevermind, kind sir. Based on survey results the issue is apparently just local to my desktop.

I would still entertain any comments, opinions, etc., from any readers who are bored enough to look. :)

    Hi,

I’m trying to use one of those nice Add to Cart images that I received with your Landing Pages eBook.

It works but on my PC/Server combination it takes too long. The page goes white while it directs to home and down before adding to cart.

Just wondering if there is a quicker method.

    I’m using [http://booksbypam.com/jewelry-making-tools/pliers-and-cutters/baby-wubber-pliers/round-nose-baby-wubber-pliers/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=26]

The page example is [http://booksbypam.com/jewelry-making-tools/pliers-and-cutters/baby-wubber-pliers/round-nose-baby-wubber-pliers/] of course.

It’s all looking pretty though! lol

    Thanks!

    Pam

P.S. I’m always open to any comments, opinions, suggestions and criticisms if any other readers want to chime in.

    Merci Beaucoup Admin!

They were just too small to fill up the space and left too much white space on the right for my liking.

C’est parfait maintenant! (Looks perfect now! Sounds better en Francais. :)

Thank you for taking the time to explain this! Now I can make an informed decision.

    Hi,

Can you tell me where I can change the size of the thumbnail on the display?

    I am using shortcode like this [wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=4 style=3 type=1].

They just don’t lay out well on my page a you can see here.[http://booksbypam.com/tutorials/wire-jewelry-tutorials/]

I think I can resolve it by making the thumbnails larger.

    Otherwise so incredibly perfect!

    Thanks, Pam

Thank you Keith! That helps some.

I guess what really throw me off recently was that I tried to recover from a really bad move on my part.

In trying to correct it I attempted to FTP my local backup up to the server. Well, I don’t have a fast upload speed and at the rate it was uploading it would take 171 hours.

I called the host and they simply reset me back 24 hours. All was well. As it turns out they had led me down the wrong path initially because “most people don’t backup their database” and they assumed that I hadn’t either and told me to ftp my backups to the server.

It left me wondering if the database backup is really all I need.

I used Backup Buddy in the past but it seems that I don’t need it. Don’t know if I should buy it again or not, it’s annual.

GoDaddy does daily backups too but I get conflicting info from them on whether I can rely on that.

I think my trouble is that I don’t know what the database actually contains. I don’t think I know enough to ask this question clearly. You said content and settings. Is that all I need? Is a separate backup plug in superfluous? Is backing up my entire site silly?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi!

I just have to tell you how incredibly cool this feature is!

I’m getting more ideas all the time. I can hardly even just sit down and the computer and code it all fast enough!

Today I made a “join for download” page base on what I learned in your Practical Guide to Landing Pages eBook and included an eStore gallery to related products at the bottom of the page.

This is so much more useful than a separate gallery plug-in as I do have to worry about updating prices and links in different galleries. Now it is all in one place.

I’m really having so much fun! Thank you so much for the great plug-ins, the great data and the great support!

    Cheers, Pam

P.S. My landing page could be sooo much better but my first go at it isn’t bad. :) [http://booksbypam.com/free-stuff/free-bracelet-tutorial/]
