I double-checked my plugins and somehow I had missed deactivating a few of them. Damn! Anyway, by process of elimination I discovered that the Wordress Firewall 2 was the culprit. Thanks, all sorted.
I have the problem that wordpress jumps to the home page screen as soon as I click on any of the wp-estore menu items from within the dashboard. I’ve de-activated all my plugins and it’s still happening. I am running wordpress 4 using the Vantage Premium theme. This is causing me a big problem with my customers because I can’t access anything within estore
The point is though, that it DIDN’T work, although set to 120 and I need to know why? This 120 allowed for 3 downloads per person. Now, of course one person could download all 120 (unlikely but possible) so this is why I find this system unsatisfactory. I could remove the download limit altogether as you suggested but that makes it even worse! What do you suggest?
Random Code Question: so when I generate the encrpyted link in Admin Functions it refers to this setting? Does that mean each and every link is identical? If I change it will every link match whatever I change it to? Or does this need to be changed every time I generate a link in Admin functions?
Good idea bout disabling the download number limit.
I will do that in future. However, I think we mis-understand one-another – I increased the number of downloads to 120, to allow for each customer having 3 chances to download, but it still came back with the message I described. Any ideas?
Also, can you look at my original message, there was a question about the Random Code under General Settings that I’m not clear about.

However, it’s not a ‘Pay Pal Buy Now’ Button, which is what I need. Can you advise how I get the big orange Pay Pal button please?
