I did notice the annual fee. The advanced plugin would have suited my start up needs at a cost of about $44.50 with mthly fee of $5.72…so first year cost of about $113…with free upgrades for only a year.
I’m also researching Amazon S3. If I understand the pricing correctly the standard storage charge of $0.023 /GB/mth would cost me $5-$6 /mth for 200 GB with plenty of bandwidth for viewing videos, I’m assuming bandwidth usage is included with the storage – still learning about S3. To embed the videos in wordpress it appears I also need the S3flowshield plugin at a cost of $97. This makes both plugins with fees price comparable, but S3 has a lot more to offer. I have the S3 account established on the free tier for the first year. I’m going to purchase the S3flowshield plugin next.
kheapsMemberI stumbled across embedprivatevideo.com and tried their website demo that played my private YouTube video on their website. They sell a wordpress plugin that does this, the pricing is in euros. Can you comment on their wordpress plugin?
kheapsMemberGot it, thx!
kheapsMemberMy apologies, but I seem to have copied an incorrect link in previous message. Following is correct link.
The above link is embedded in an image that takes me to the ppv page and Buy Now button where everything works on my desktop; but not my iPhone7. The url for the image follows…”http://alaskaunguided.com/fat-bike-knik-glacier/”
kheapsMemberI have created a page with ppv content. On my desktop the following link takes me to the ppv page and displays the Buy Now button and everything works.
When I tap same link on my mobile device (Iphone 7s) I get the following message “Sorry, you are not allowed to preview drafts”
My estore settings show uncheck for the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” and check for the “Enable Alternate Redirection Method”.
Can you provide some insight on what I may have set up incorrectly?
Thanks
March 26, 2018 at 3:36 am in reply to: How to set up a credit (or download quota) based membership plan? #68282kheapsMemberFor whatever reason the link below opens up a ‘USE CREDIT-TOKENS TO SELL YOUR PRODUCTS’ page but there is no content on the page….I’m using Google Chrome, all other posts/links I’ve tried work and display pages with content. This addon seems like it will work for my situation. Is this still a valid page?
Thanks!
Using our credit/token addon for eStore, you can sell “Download Credits” to your members. Then charge them 1 credit for each download:

kheapsMember*….do not want to redistribute images,…
sorry about the typo
kheapsMemberThanks. In this particular case I do want to redistribute images, I want to charge a fee to open a link to a map on my google drive (the link happened to be embedded in an image in my example). The map opens up and shows gps position on a trail, ensuring user they can stay on course. Is there a short code that might charge a fee for user to open a link to a map? The user would return to use same map again during the planning and execution of the trip; i.e., multiple times, but would not be charged for multiple uses.
In re-thinking this I’ve thought about subscriptions. I have not yet used the subscription short-code but would that allow a user to ‘subscribe’ to a single map link for an annual or one-time fee?
I hope to be selling images on the site soon, so the wordpress-photo-seller-plug in is right up my alley, thanks!
kheapsMemberI have a question regarding serial numbers. I have the part working where buyer purchases digital content from page and receives email with serial code. What I cannot figure out is how buyer enters serial number to access product when back on the web page? The product is an image from my media library with a link to my google drive that opens a map. The media library image exists on the page and it works, but I want to be able to collect a payment to be able to open the image/link. In current state when buyer comes back to site after purchase the media library image on the page opens up without requirement of a serial number. Does use of the serial number require being a member? Does the product need to be displayed on the page versus the library image (so there’s an association with a serial number), if so is there instruction on that. I’m a newbie and purchased WordPress a few days ago. I’ve scoured the forum and figured it was time to ask. Thanks.
