I just downloaded and installed the newest version of WP eStore. The setup and purchase works fine while using my web browser but upon clicking the “Buy Now” button on my Android device it lags and gives me an Internal Server Error: “The server encountered and internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request…”
Here is the page I’m working on:

I’m using WordPress 3.8 with the Genesis Framework
Any insight would be truly wonderful! Thanks!
April 24, 2014 at 7:04 am #62428adminKeymasterThat isn’t coming from the plugin. Do the following two changes to see if your server works better with that:
1) Go to eStore settings and uncheck the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” option and save it.
2) Go to the advanced settings tab then check the “Enable Alternate Redirection Method” field and save it.
April 24, 2014 at 5:05 pm #62429mxmusxMemberI did both of those things but to no avail.
If I place this shortcode [wp_eStore_buy_now_button id=1] to automatically go to PayPay, that works, but the stadard Buy Now still doesn’t…
April 24, 2014 at 6:38 pm #62430wzpModeratorIf I place this shortcode [wp_eStore_buy_now_button id=1] to automatically go to PayPay, that works, but the stadard (sic) Buy Now still doesn’t…
What exactly is the shortcode you are using, that causes the problems?
April 24, 2014 at 7:00 pm #62431mxmusxMember[wp_eStore_add_to_cart id=13]
[wp_eStore_fancy1 id=13] doesn’t work either.
April 24, 2014 at 7:26 pm #62432mxmusxMemberMy hosting service is through Site5 and its a shared server. I was reading on another thread about HTTP loopback and the Cron process. Is it possible that the connection between the button (POST) and reconnecting with the updated cart has something to do with that?
April 25, 2014 at 6:42 am #62433adminKeymasterI just did a test in an iOS device (My iPad) and two android devicec (Samsung s2 and s4). The checkout works fine for me. I go all the way to the paypal checkout page. What mobile device are you using for your test?
April 25, 2014 at 6:44 pm #62434mxmusxMemberThanks for checking. Looks like an issue on my Droid 4.
April 26, 2014 at 3:43 am #62435PosturallyMemberI have a situation where on one of my products the buy now button results in an error message. This is inconsistent with the 2 other products on the same page where the buy now buttons work just fine.
All 3 products have the same exact affiliates url in the respective product page url and button redirect url.
In all but 8 Weeks to Healing Your Body both the text links on the top and the buy now button work. But again, the Buy Now button on the 8 Weeks to Healing Your Body results in an error message.
Try it for yourself: [http://products.posturally.com/]
Any ideas? Thanks!
April 26, 2014 at 7:02 am #62436adminKeymasterFor some reason, when data is POSTed to the following URL, that site shows that error:
Can you ask them why they show an error if there is a HTTP POST on that page?
April 26, 2014 at 12:08 pm #62437PosturallyMemberI will do that, but can you clarify something for me? Are you saying that ALL instances in that particular URL (ie both product page and button redirect) have the error?
Or alternatively, are you saying that the Button url in Estore uses POST data, while the product url does not?
Knowing the answer to this will help expedite the communications with them, as they often take a long time to get back to each email sent.
Thanks!
April 26, 2014 at 2:03 pm #62438adminKeymastereStore uses HTTP POST when you click on a button. The product link is just a plain URL. The HTTP POST isn’t working for that site.
April 27, 2014 at 5:00 am #62439PosturallyMemberGot it. Thanks. I’ll check with them to see what’s up with that.
March 29, 2018 at 5:27 pm #62440kheapsMemberI have created a page with ppv content. On my desktop the following link takes me to the ppv page and displays the Buy Now button and everything works.
When I tap same link on my mobile device (Iphone 7s) I get the following message “Sorry, you are not allowed to preview drafts”
My estore settings show uncheck for the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” and check for the “Enable Alternate Redirection Method”.
Can you provide some insight on what I may have set up incorrectly?
Thanks
March 29, 2018 at 5:45 pm #62441kheapsMemberMy apologies, but I seem to have copied an incorrect link in previous message. Following is correct link.
The above link is embedded in an image that takes me to the ppv page and Buy Now button where everything works on my desktop; but not my iPhone7. The url for the image follows…”http://alaskaunguided.com/fat-bike-knik-glacier/”
