With some google-fu I found this article. (For MailChimp)
Seems you can customise the thank you page. It appears to be as simple as entering the web-address-url of in the space provided.
My question now is will the download page include the expiring download link. (will it be unique still?)
JulianMemberOk.
Panic attack over. Best advice is to take a walk for a few minutes and come back to it.
The solution I found was to enter Cpanel, find the eng.php file in the plugin page and remove the offending text.
There is a guide available here on how to edit the file safely that Ivy wrote.
Also, you could use the following trick to deactivate the plugin and then reload a fresh new copy of the plugin:

JulianMember…
I am so new to this whole thing. I did as you suggested, and discovered it worked.
So I continued on that page and built the page from scratch, making sure, that it worked each time.
In the process I found the culprit for the problem.
It was some rogue code from the Mailchimp signup form that I had originally planned to use before I discovered this software. I had thought it all deleted, but evidently not.
It ‘seemed’ fairly innocent, however clearly it created a bit of an issue with our code from here.
That’s a long way to say: thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
I’m sorry (and kind of glad) it was resolved quickly.
In summary, it appears that it conflicted with another incomplete/half deleted sign up form that was on the same page.
JulianMemberI forgot to say thank you.
Thank you wzp. Great help
JulianMemberThank you!
High-Five!
That worked out ok,
The user is directed to a thank yoiu page after submitting their info.
The person receives an email with the encrypted download link.
The only 1/2 star is that the download itself is not a 2-step process and occurs immediately on the clicking of the link. (That’s great efficiency, but it has no leverage)
I suppose I can jerry-rig the ‘download’ email to double as my ‘upgrade the product’ pitch, or even as a last resort convert the thank you page into being such.
I’m all for a smooth online experience, but I wanted to offer the user the option to upgrade *after* they have made the decision to collect the product for free.
