Hi Peter, yes I do mean importing existing images in the wordpress media library, I’ve been very clear about this, it’s the same process you used to create the smaller gallery with 65 images.
I understand what you say about server resources, however that isn’t the issue here – I use a dedicated VPS with more than enough processing power and memory. I also restarted the server just in case and the same thing happened.
Additonally, and you still don’t answer my question about this, the error log message does not refer to this being any kind of server problem.
Are you saying your plugin cannot handle large inputs of data? It can handle uploading hundreds of images from my local drive, the issue is handling hundreds of images.
I seem to be getting nowhere here, and instead of going backward and forward, please either resolve the matter and advise what the error log means (after all, you did advise me to activate debugging and check the error log, but you’ve not used that information to explain the cause), or I would like a refund and I’ll switch to an alternative method.
It’s easy to blame the server, but in this instance I’m inclined to think there’s a problem with the plugin and that you don’t understand how to resolve this.
Regarding the issue of SEO and uploading images, I understand what you say, but the fact is the plugin should be able to handle an import from the server, using images already uploaded to the server. Why should I have to work around this by re-uploading 60,000 images? That’s a botch, not a resolution.
May 18, 2015 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Photo Seller – not importing images from the media library #69977jonathonfowlerMemberHi Peter,
I emailed you back again, tried t create 3 different galleries using the import from media library option. None of the images would save into the gallery.
I’ve been very specific about the process I followed. I’ve also supplied you the error log info, but you’ve not advised what the error means.
I appreciate you managed to create a gallery using 65 images, as did I after you succeeded. Shortly after this I tried to import over 600 images….and the fault occurs again.
Please look further, I really don’t want/expect to have to reupload over 60K images just to workaround this issue. Many of the images already uploaded have been indexed by Google, I don’t want to have to duplicate images by re uploading.
Please help to fix this, I’ve provided everything you asked me to. Thanks.

Tried to import existing files from the media library, but not working, won’t keep the import when I click on ‘save’.
May 15, 2015 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Photo Seller – not importing images from the media library #69974jonathonfowlerMemberHi Peter,
Also realised it doesn’t import images when uploaded using the media library uploader.
So neither previously uploaded or newly uploaded images are importing into the gallery.
May 12, 2015 at 8:02 am in reply to: Photo Seller – not importing images from the media library #69972jonathonfowlerMemberExample image for the gallery I was trying ot create:
So yes, they are in the standard wordpress media uploads directory.
After selecting the images to go into the gallery, I get the following message on the ‘gallery setings / upload images’ tab:
Number of Images Selected: 69 images were selected. You must click the “Save Gallery” button for these to be added to the gallery.
I then click on ‘save gallery’, the screen refreshes, then……nothing. None of the images are imported into the gallery.
May 11, 2015 at 6:49 am in reply to: Photo Seller – not importing images from the media library #69970jonathonfowlerMemberThanks Peter. I get the following error in the log:

May 10, 2015 at 12:27 am in reply to: WP Photo Seller not displaying images when clicking on the thumbnails #63366jonathonfowlerMemberHi, I have a problem with this, click on a thumbnail and the image opens on a web page, not on the detailed info page.
I just upped memory as advised above, and no luck with that.
Please advise, and take a look at the gallery in question.
Thanks

May 8, 2015 at 6:30 pm in reply to: How to reverse the order of galleries displayed in /photogallery folder #69935jonathonfowlerMemberHi muleymadness,
Yes, I always watermark images first, if a client receives a watermark free image I send it direct without the option to download from the site. Site images are fro preview only.
jonathonfowlerMember+1 for adding pagination at the bottom of a gallery. Previous and next is fine, but when my gallery has over 20 pages of images, it’s a pain in the ass for a client to have to click 20 times to reach page 20!
jonathonfowlerMemberThe only way I get more server space is by paying more, currently running at 30GB of storage. Not sure of a high performance service which is free/cheap….if you find it, please do let me know!
jonathonfowlerMemberHi there,
I use MaxCDN in conjunction with W3 Total Cache plugin. You still host your files on your own server, but you use W3TC to speed up your site.
When using W3TC with MaxCDN, when a site visitor clicks on your images or pages, W3TC sends the files to MaxCDN to cache.
MaxCDN have servers around the world, what happens is your cached files are served faster than using your local server on its own.
The reduction in page load times can be significant when everything is set up properly. Get it wrong and it can be slower. But there’s plenty of help available, MaxCDN have live help available to assist if you run into problems.
MaxCDN do not backup your files, all they do is cache a copy on their servers. You cannot access these files, or take a backup from them, that’s not the service they provide. All they do is speed up delivery of your content (hence the name, Content Delivery Network).
April 13, 2015 at 6:21 am in reply to: wps-navigation-pagination – how to change prev/next box and text colours #69544jonathonfowlerMemberOK, that’s great, thank you for your help!
April 12, 2015 at 1:34 pm in reply to: wps-navigation-pagination – how to change prev/next box and text colours #69542jonathonfowlerMemberOk thanks, it worked, but can only see it working when I’m logged in as admin. I’ve purged my caches, deleted browser cache, but don’t see the change when viewing the page if I’m not logged in as admin. Works OK when logged back in as admin, so I guess my clients will only see the old version that I want to change.
