    Hi, Two questions;

    1. Is there a way of including some index pages (1-10 etc) at the bottom of a gallery so that views dont have to click next page 10 times whilst waiting for each page to load. Some of my galleries have upwards of 20 pages and this is proving to be a real obstacle for potential clients.

    2. The bulk upload processing seems to have processed images in an unusual fashion and the images id order does not match the filename order. Also when images are sorted by filename the order is 1,10,101,102,103 etc

    Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

    Cheers

    Rob

    I don’t quite understand. Can you tell me where exactly are you setting the order by filename?

    (The gallery settings page only allows ordering images by ID and Date)

    I have a gallery that has been processed through the bulk upload process but the images have not been processed in order of filename ie instead of image id #1 = filename_1, image id #2 = filename_2 they are all mixed up. So therefore when I try and display the gallery images by either image id or image date they are not displayed in the order they were taken. This makes it very difficult for participants in the event I was shooting to find their personal images as they are not in any particular order.

    Also re my first question; Is there any way of adding in some extra (linked) index page numbers at the bottom of the gallery, to allow people to jump forward through the a 20 page gallery quicker?

    No currently there isn’t. We will see what we can do and add something to enable this. Keep in mind it won’t be done within the next week or two due to other commitments.

    Regarding the bulk upload processing order – I’m not sure about this. I will need to look at the code more closely. We are simply using a PHP class calle ziparchive to extract the files.

    IMO sorting by filename is quite important. Last time when I uploaded big sport event gallery, I’ve had some errors and had to re-upload some of the photos. Now I can’t set them in proper order. Sorting by filename will fix that problem.

    Ok thanks for the feedback.

    We will take a look and see if we can add another dropdown option in gallery settings to sort by filename.

    +1 for adding pagination at the bottom of a gallery. Previous and next is fine, but when my gallery has over 20 pages of images, it’s a pain in the ass for a client to have to click 20 times to reach page 20!

    +3 for pagination on galleries. It is pretty much a standard usability feature these days on any site displaying consecutive multiple pages of products/images, and Photo Seller really needs this feature.

    Likewise, a feature to allow sorting/re-sorting of images or to re-order the image display order within a gallery is also a must.

    Cheers
