Weight entered into separate product entry/ID. But still shipping cost applied. I have both physical (printed), and digital for “same” product ; and yes, they are separate product ids for physical and digital, but I still can’t get zero shipping on digital.
Have PAYPAL shipping profile checked. Entered zero shipping in digital shortcode. Doesn’t work.
April 9, 2015 at 2:30 pm in reply to: How to configure so PayPal doesn't ask for shipping address for digital download #18943dleeowenMemberI have a similar issue. I have a mixed bag site: some physical prints and 2 digital files. The problem is I have switched on PayPal and it merrily calculates shipping for my digital files too. I can’t figure out how to have PayPal cake an eat it too on digital. Maybe set a weight of zero and charge 0 in PayPal as one of the shipping methods, BUT that requires the customer to select the right shipping. Not ideal. Has anyone come up with a way of deal with this “mixed bag” of physical and digital products and PAYPAL??
dleeowenMemberThank you fo both wzp and admin responses. I agree; but getting help from GoDaddy is hard at times. (I will be switching hosts after I use up some of my paid time.) I agree, after dealing with this for quite a while, that it had to be the host blocking my emil. Not sure how updating an MX record works. Can I do that or do they have to do it. thanks again.
dleeowenMemberI have 4.1.1 and eStore for Digital products. I have tried for over a week to figure out why a customer using AOL mail system is not getting an order confirmation email.
I have verified that my email works correctly and that the WordPress can send and receive email. (Including the Email Tester plugin). All is fine as far as that goes. I receive my seller confirmation of the order from WordPress.
I have traced the runs with all of the debug files. They show no problem.
Obviously, the IPN can say it sent a file (Success) but it may not make it past my GoDaddy server. All other email is making it.
And yes I do have the box checked to use WordPress email. I dread making changes to the PHP and going to SMTP for fear what will happen to the rest of system. (I am not an experienced web coder.)
I can’t make it work. Need help.
