My configuration:
WordPress Version 4.1
WP eMember Version v8.9.4
WP eStore Version v7.1.7
WP Payment Gateway Bundle Version 2.0.1 (sent to me by your customer support after CCBill increased my max limit)
WPPG CCBill Price Check Override Addon Version 1.0 (sent to me by your customer support after CCBill increased my max limit)
I have also installed your Email Functionality Tester Version 1.1 and followed the instructions found at https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads/docs/using-the-email-tester-plugin.pdf to test if I am able to send and receive emails. Yes, I can.
I currently have both a free membership and a single level of paid membership using CCBill as my payment gateway. When a new free membership is registered, the “Complete Your Registration” email is sent and received by the registrant. When a paid CCBill subscription is purchased, the CCBill Email Confirmation of Subscription is sent and received by the subscriber, but the eMember “Complete Your Registration” email is not being received (I have not turned on debug mode to verify that it is being sent, but after receiving the email on the free membership and installing and testing email sending using your Email Functionality Tester, I assume it is being sent).
Please advise.
Many thanks,
Dave/Ace
February 7, 2015 at 11:20 pm #68474wpCommerceModeratorHi, Please reply to the email I sent you yesterday so I can login to your site and investigate the issue.
February 20, 2015 at 8:32 pm #68475acebannonMemberI apologize for the delay in responding. Your email clued me into the fact that I had not entered the correct URL for some of my CCBill settings. I corrected that and now things are operating as they should.
Thanks!
Ace
April 6, 2015 at 1:30 am #68476dleeowenMemberI have 4.1.1 and eStore for Digital products. I have tried for over a week to figure out why a customer using AOL mail system is not getting an order confirmation email.
I have verified that my email works correctly and that the WordPress can send and receive email. (Including the Email Tester plugin). All is fine as far as that goes. I receive my seller confirmation of the order from WordPress.
I have traced the runs with all of the debug files. They show no problem.
Obviously, the IPN can say it sent a file (Success) but it may not make it past my GoDaddy server. All other email is making it.
And yes I do have the box checked to use WordPress email. I dread making changes to the PHP and going to SMTP for fear what will happen to the rest of system. (I am not an experienced web coder.)
I can’t make it work. Need help.
April 6, 2015 at 2:37 am #68477wzpModeratorIf everyone EXCEPT your AOL users are receiving their email messages; there is nothing on the plugin’s end that you can do.
April 6, 2015 at 2:38 am #68478adminKeymasterThis is an issue with your Godaddy hosting. AOL is rejecting emails going from this server.
Its not an issue in the plugin. You just have to ask Godaddy support why the emails sent to AOL accounts are getting blocked (maybe fix/update your MX records). Their support should be able to help you with it.
The following post will be very helpful for you also.
April 6, 2015 at 11:46 pm #68479dleeowenMemberThank you fo both wzp and admin responses. I agree; but getting help from GoDaddy is hard at times. (I will be switching hosts after I use up some of my paid time.) I agree, after dealing with this for quite a while, that it had to be the host blocking my emil. Not sure how updating an MX record works. Can I do that or do they have to do it. thanks again.

You can do that yourself, through cPanel. But because of the potential for error; it is really something you should get your host to take care of.
