wpCommerce – Thank you so much for the assist!
Question: I have another site running the same setup that’s actually got an older version of both wpeStore and Nextgen (no addon). What advice would you offer me in upgrading to current (besides backing up ? Will I need to manually update the Nextgen side? Once I have it updated, will I have to do that manually every time an upgrade comes along, or will the addon “learn” and take care of it automatically in the future?
Again, I really do appreciate your help,
Dave
DFranzwaMemberThanks wpCommerce!
The info you requested has been sent.

DFranzwaMemberI can see how it will be easier once I get it right But,…
I uploaded the addon and it appeared to automatically adjust my gallery, and it’s close to what it was except the shortcode is showing.
For example: at [www.horsevector.com] front page, 5th row down you’ll see
“Horse Vector: Heads”
The gallery shortcode is [nggallery id=4 template=wp-eStore]
which corresponds to gallery with several pics in it.
The following is just one of them:
Horse Head R – VHD317x323 JPG $6.00
[wp_eStore:product_id:24:end]
EPS $45.00[wp_eStore:product_id:19:end]
Any helpful hints as to what I need to do?
Thanks so much, Dave
ps – The code is what was there prior to uploading the addon.
DFranzwaMemberAfter getting a few upgrade issues handled (thanks Ivy;-), I am now integrating wp eStore with the Nextgen addon. My shop has many zipped files for sale. I have been used to dropping the file into Nextgen when updating it, but because I wasn’t getting updates as I should, I knew nothing about the “addon”.
My question is this: Do I need to totally re-configure what I did have on my sales page gallery, or does one of the 2 options on the addon automatically take care of making things as they were?
Not lazy; just busy.
DFranzwaMemberSorry, I found it at: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-kunaki-integration-addon-2633
DFranzwaMemberWhere can I read about this, and how much?
February 11, 2013 at 6:12 am in reply to: Items not placing into Shopping into Shopping Cart – Says Still Empty #53719DFranzwaMember@Admin – Thanks for the hint. I swapped out Quick Cache for w3 Total and (other than being totally overwhelmed by the options) am amazed. Blazing speed, and the cart is updating in both FF and Chrome.
Thanks again, Dave
ps – Looks like I’ll be looking for some W3 videos on Youtube;-)
February 9, 2013 at 1:19 am in reply to: Items not placing into Shopping into Shopping Cart – Says Still Empty #53711DFranzwaMemberI’m having the same issue at [http://stickfiguresclipart.com] including the #wp_cart_anchor appended at the end.
Cart works when logged in as admin.
When not logged in, cart won’t update, showing an empty cart. When I log back in as admin, cart has product in it.
Issue consistant in both FF and Chrome
Tried troubleshooting this prior to updating to WP Version 3.5.1, then
Upgraded to: WP Version 3.5.1 and tried again.
Upgraded to WP eStore 6.9.6 about 3 wks ago because of similar issue.
Quick Cache Version 111203 (cache clearing appears to be working)
Any help?
DFranzwaMemberAlong these same lines, I have recently added SSL to my site. I’ve been taking care of “insecure content” issues and ran across this one when I edited a product in wp eStore.
Running WP “version”:”3.3.1″
WP eStore Version v5.8.6
URL currently working on:
Warning: get_headers() [function.get-headers]: Unable to find the wrapper “https” – did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP? in /home/USER/public_html/SITE.COM/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_utility_functions.php on line 69
Warning: get_headers() [function.get-headers]: This function may only be used against URLs in /home/USER/public_html/SITE.COM/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_utility_functions.php on line 69
Any hints as to what I’m supposed to do with that?
I also received an error when I changed the button graphic to https, but the browsers find it just fine, so I’m not worried about that.
Any help appreciated.
Dave
DFranzwaMemberThanks. They’re working now.
Provider must have been monkeying around at the same time I was pulling my hair out;-)
DFranzwaMemberSorry, yes. The unencrypted link does not work. The encrypted link does.
DFranzwaMemberAlong the same lines, except:
[WP eStore Settings v 6.3.7
http://stickfiguresclipart.com/
download size = 642 kb
I can dl an encrypted link created through admin functions, but the REAL url results in page not found.
Is it just me, or is that weird?
Everything was working just fine until a couple days ago. I had upgraded to WP eStore Settings v 6.3.7 and fought with the “addon settings”. Through trial and error (because I have no clue what ANY of the options mean) I settled on Automatic URL conversion “Default”, and “Download method 6”. That seemed to get everything working until yesterday.
I had a purchase of 10 files, all of which were downloaded except 1. I checked URL validity (spelling), everything checked out, but neither the real URL or the encrypted worked. So I started tinkering with the addon options again.
I killed the htaccess and htpasswords files and went back to the “default” settings. Now, SOME of the real urls work, and ALL of the encrypted links I tried work. Not enough of both to make me comfortable, but…
Any words of wisdom?
Dave
PS – btw – the 1 file purchased that wasn’t downloaded WAS a typo, but that doesn’t change the fact that something isn’t quite right. Logs were no help, they only told me about the bad url. I’m still not able to download from a real url, only encrypted.
DFranzwaMemberAmin – I don’t know if this is what you were asking for, but it was all I could find on Kunaki’s site. I’m interested in this as well.
DFranzwaMemberThanks, Amin! Awesome as usual!
DFranzwaMemberI’m pretty sure the plugin inherits its styling from your theme’s style.css By going to Appearance–> Editor –> find your style.css and do a search for #sidebar . that should help you find the part of style.css that governs your sidebar style.
If you’ll share the link to your site, I’ll take a look and see if I can tell you exactly what to tweak.
