We are not using the site wide/domain level lockdown feature. The thing is, we don’t want to have the whole site locked down. We don’t want the main part of the website locked down for any reason. We just want to redirect/lockdown the members’ homepage for anyone who is not a member.
clearscopeParticipantForgive me if I am missing the obvious, but I just don’t see where it explains how to make a page redirect without the proper access level. I see how to make the content not visible, but not how to make the page redirect. So, even non members are able to still see and arrive on the page. Can we just make this page redirect to the login page for anyone who is not logged-in?
clearscopeParticipantThank you, I have submitted the form you sent.
clearscopeParticipantOk, I have gone through the checklists listed above to no avail. I’ve also gone through and done plugin and theme testing. When all plugins are disabled and when the theme is reverted to WordPress default 2013, the issue still persists. I enabled the debug log, and this is the info that it is showing:
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – Status : Link details retrieved using file key. Link ID: 113
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – Status : Handing download request from IP Address: XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = http://ourwebsite.org/wp-content/uploads/member-downloads/test.docx
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = /home/users/web/b100/moo.ourwebsite/wp-content/uploads/member-downloads/test.docx
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
[08/27/2013 3:58 AM] – SUCCESS : DL completed with no server-side errors detected.
So, there does not seem to be any conflict with our theme or other plugins, and we are not using any of the plugins on your non-compatible list.
Please, please tell me you have some other ideas of how to fix this. We are quite distraught at the moment that we can’t get this working.
Thank you.

It seems like maybe certain hosting companies simply override what eMember tries to do in this regard?
I spoke to Bluehost and they didn’t seem to have anyway to get this to work except to have us change the $From address on line 84 of /wp-includes > class-phpmailer.php
We had to change that field from ‘root@localhost’ to the address that we actually want to use. So, it doesn’t seem like we can actually use the eMember settings within the WordPress dashboard to manage this. But at least we got it to at least not be sending from that janky host account email address.
clearscopeParticipantThank you for your response. Can you please tell me how to enable the debug logs and perform tests? We don’t have any experience with that.
Here is a non-expiring encrypted link to a test file: [https://mindfulnessinschools.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2BOa%2FC0EVvOVjKzp]
I have tried uninstalling and deleting the plugin, and loading a fresh copy of eStore. One thing I notice (and this has been the case for both eStore and eMember) – when we install them through the dashboard plugin install screen, neither of them ever get past the ‘Unpacking the packageā¦’ screen. That is, the screen never gets to this point:
Installing the pluginā¦
Plugin installed successfully.
Activate Plugin | Return to Plugins page
Now, if you leave that page manually and go back to the plugins page, the plugin appears there and you can activate it. And, if you check FTP, it seems that all the files were successfully added. And the plugins seem to work completely as intended within the dashboard.
But still, this is strange, and we have never had this problem with any other plugins.
Perhaps this is part of the problem?
August 25, 2013 at 11:41 pm in reply to: Custom Fields in Both Registration and Profile, can they just be in one? #35658clearscopeParticipantWe would like to have the custom fields that we require on our registration form to not appear on the profile page.
Do we have to purchase the $30 plugin addon just to remove those custom fields from the profile page?
It seems, since you give the option of specifying which basic fields appear on the profile page, that we should also have the option of selecting whether custom fields appear there or not.
Thank you.

If I hit reply in the email that is received, the ‘To’ address is shown as exactly the same as the ‘From’ address that it appears to come from: xxxxx@box652.bluehost.com
Which is somehow related to the hosting account for the site.
How do we solve this?
August 14, 2013 at 2:48 am in reply to: Return (from) Address on "Registration Complete" Free members #29741clearscopeParticipantI am now having this same exact problem. Auto emails for registration are appearing to come from [xxxxx@box652.bluehost.com] instead of email address that we have specified. We are using a PayPal button for payments. Can you please help as I don’t see the solution listed in this thread.
