we just did a fresh install of the plugin due to wordpress upgrade and because of this issue aswell, everything except the spam stuff is fixed now….
so step 1 has just been done,
i enabled the debug and left it at that point, so we have a log file since the 23 Dec, in which more than half would be spammer registrations.
I’m sending the file through now.
thankyou for your help, this has been very frustrating and is quite serious as it doesn’t look good for our visitors and subscribers.

it is getting worse, i tried implementing a new forum using bbpress and as soon as i created forums, there was spam posts in them and over the past week or so, there has been roughly 200 spam user registrations…

it does seem like the plugin lost access to the database, i wish i knew what to do.

everytime i try a new generated link or someone purchases a product, it is still the same result and nothing more comes up in the debug file.

its weird that the download manager debug log doesn’t show the recent transactions that havn’t been working…

come on admin, i’m being flooded with emails from customers that are having the same problem.

i updated wp, then the plugins didnt work so i updated them, and now this is happening…
billbenbodhiMemberI’m having the same problem on downloadable files…
everything works up until they click the encrypted link then this error:
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) couldn’t be found in the wp_eStore database.”
i used admin funtion to create a download link to test and i got the same error.
i checked the debug log files and all seemed perfect and successful.
It has only just started since the upgrade due to wp3.3 issues.
please help.
billbenbodhiMemberI thought so, I just dont know what to do about it…
the hosting company is Siteground, which have been really good for the last couple of years.
the hosting account is an unlimited space and bandwidth, so I’m not sure how this would happen.
I’ll look into the amazon s3 integration, it seems we are running out of options.

so i’ve tried everything, there was a few file names with spaces, but we fixed that and tested on ones that were exactly how they are supposed to be with no spaces.
i then went over the checklist, performed all, and still the same…
apparently one person got a successful download at some point, but that was the only one and none have worked for anyone else or us before or after that “freak” one that did work.
i made sure the error log was running and here is a result from a test i just did-
the error that comes up is this:

i’m lost with what to do now.
