If you edit a product, does the newly edited content stay saved? or Can you add a new product to the eStore database? If you can’t then it would mean that somehow the database tables got locked during the WordPress upgrade and is causing this issue. You did deactivate and reactivate the plugins after upgrade right?
December 21, 2011 at 1:53 pm #38866briandavidphillipsSpectatorI just tried adding a new product and it did not work.
I also tried modifying an existing product and the changes did not save.
I am still getting new members and affiliates for those products okay, it’s only the estore that is problematic at this time (as far as I can tell).

December 21, 2011 at 1:55 pm #38867briandavidphillipsSpectatorWhen I added and when I modified products, the message was that the product was created (but it does not appear anywhere in the product management thingie) and that the modified product was saved (but the changes to not appear in the management thingie). So, it says it works but it obviously doesn’t.

December 21, 2011 at 4:01 pm #38868adminKeymasterYep, that would confirm that that the eStore database table somehow got locked on your site during the WordPress upgrade and new data is not getting inserted into the table. I will send you an email to get site access so I can check out the condition of it and see what I can do.
December 21, 2011 at 11:08 pm #38869billbenbodhiMemberthis is exactly the same for me also…
Please email me aswell,
or if you have figured it out, please post the fix here for me.
it does seem like the plugin lost access to the database, i wish i knew what to do.
thanks for your help.
December 22, 2011 at 10:11 am #38870adminKeymasterOkay I was able to track down the issue… updated this post with the details (see the WP eStore section):

December 22, 2011 at 10:59 am #38871briandavidphillipsSpectatorAwesome! Thank you so much! It seems to be working correctly now. The specific issues I was having seem to be corrected. Direct downloads are back, I can edit existing products and add new ones.
I really appreciate this!
I will only be one day late in getting our coupons out but it’s worth it for the peace of mind and knowing you good folks get in there and get the job done! Thank you!
Happy holidays!

July 13, 2012 at 6:36 pm #38873DennisMemberSame issue here!
I’m running all the latest and eStore is new on my site and I have not upgraded anything since I installed other than few plugins updates not related to eStore.
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.
The problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) has been used too many times. If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.”
Has happened two times in past three days where one was for free download.
I have read all the posts mentioned in this threat and the ones linked to another threats but that didn’t answer my questions as I did a live purchase in debug mode, which worked 100% for me and here is the result (which I don’t understand):
[07/03/2012 6:01 PM] – Advisory : Log file reset.

July 13, 2012 at 9:49 pm #38874wzpModeratorHas the problem ever occurred for a link that you personally executed, or only for particular users?
Try leaving the debug logs on, and review them on a daily basis; trying to corolate any complaints to a set of log entries.
Also, what do you have for the link duration and link usage limits?
July 14, 2012 at 7:11 am #38875DennisMemberThanks wzp,
It was two different users, as the shop is new there isn’t that many visitors yet but, a few free downloads in past 2 weeks and only this two complains. Everything worked for me while testing the shop after install.
I have it set for 2 downloads, lasting for 12 hours. In both cases they got the blue screen with that error messages when they clicked the links.
Will keep the debug on and get back here later on.
July 14, 2012 at 1:50 pm #38876wzpModeratorYou might want to increase the number of downloads to 5, instead of 2. In actuality, what you are limiting is the number of clicks, or download ATTEMPTS, on the link; not the actual number of successful downloads. I can see numerous possibilities for potential problems with only a 2 click limit.
July 14, 2012 at 8:40 pm #38877DennisMemberBasic info like this should be put on the setting page. My ebooks are sold at 99 Euro, therefore I want to limit the downloads to minimum so one purchase wont end up in maximum downloads for friends and family members!
What would you recommend as minimum downloads to prevent sharing?
In the meantime I will increase it to 5 to see if that solves the problem.
July 14, 2012 at 10:54 pm #38878IvyMemberI would say around 3. This allows for 2 failed attempts.
