I can understand. Perhaps a better help file on the multiple membership would be helpful. I set it up on a test site and I have learned a great deal about what it can and cannot do. For instance it definitely does not send out emails on the secondary accounts when they are about to expire and/or have expired. The emails are on the primary account only. You might want to add that feature in a new release.

I also found you have to set up the primary membership differently because they do not add the time periods together. Therefore you are better to have not monthly memberships or time memberships but classes of memberships like Bronze, Silver, Gold that sort of thing.

I also found there is no shortcode for showing an expiry date for the secondary levels of membership. You might want to consider adding that as well.

The multiple membership feature has a lot to offer when it is structured to take advantage of it.

That’s what I thought I would try. I also have access to Moneris and they have an API which they claim works well with any plug-in. I will give it a try. Thanks again and take care.

Flagship is a lot cheaper and a lot easier to deal with. We have been with both companies and Flagship is excellent for customer service and support.

At the same time though it would be nice to be able to set up the plugins to work with any system through a manual method if possible.

To update you I have done a variety of tests and have now resolved the issue to the point where members can stay on line without constantly being asked to relogin. The culprit was the time to logout which I had set to 90 minutes. The moment I turned it off, almost everyone replied they had no further issues. When I set the timer to various minutes the issued reappeared. Once again I turned it off and no further issues. I then finally kept increasing the time out and now set at 360 minutes or 6 hours and no one is experiencing the login request after a few minutes. I have no idea what the issue is but 360 minutes is fine for now. The ISP limitations setting and the simultaneous logins settings were not an issue.

I hope this helps you with this issue. My members are extremely happy to not have to keep logging back in every so many minutes and I am glad to have resolved the problem.

I have sent out a questionnaire to the members who have this problem. I will see what consistencies there are. It seems at this point that a lot of them are using password remembering tools like the one that comes with Firefox and others are using Lastpass. Perhaps once I see the similarities then you can look into this further if you think it warrants it. As I say, only one person has complained to me and all the rest seem to feel that 30 minutes is not bad at all. I will let you know what I uncover if anything.

Both turned off last week and no change. I decided to contact all the members. I sent an email to all members asking them how many have experienced the issue. Apparently 735 have but didn’t think it was worth worrying about. Most say they can read for 30 minutes or so before they have to log in. Most say it works better in firefox than in chrome and IE where the reading time is shorter. Hope that helps.

Also I think members assume if they close their browser that the session is over until they go to the site and then reenter their login details. That does not seem to bother any of my members.

The real problem for them is when they are reading an article and then a few minutes later are asked to login again while still on the site.

I had also posted to this thread. I have a customer who once he logs in and starts reading must relog in each time he moves to another article. I cannot find my posting on your forum any longer so perhaps it was lost from your forum.

This member, logs in and then after 2 or 3 minutes he moves to another article and he must login again to read the next article. He has selected the remember me option when logging in and is using the latest version of Chrome and IE 10.

I have increased the number of IPS to 8 as I wondered if this was an issue although he should instead get a locked out message for exceeding the number of ips in a day.

I have the time out set for 90 minutes so that should not be a factor.

Any help is appreciated and hopefully my message will not get lost this time.

I think I found this in the Language PHP file for English. It seems that is where this info is coming from and I changed it there. Is that the only area where the exceeded notice draws the email address from? Thanks.

I’m sorry, but you misunderstood. Within my CPanel I have 70 individual databases as I have a lot of wordpress sites in my account. What I was trying to indicate was what would be the easiest way to find the emember database without having to check all the databases.

I was hoping that EMember had a backup feature built into the software that would backup all the settings and all the members and allow me to download to a local server for safe keeping and to move the members.

Thanks. I was looking for revision updates so that I know what each revision entails and whether to update or wait for a full revision. I had already visited the page you reference but it does not show interim revisions. Thanks for trying though.
