Hi there
Purchasers are not receiving any notification from Aweber when they make a purchase. I’ve done the email parsing on other sites with success but it’s not working for me on http://websiteswithmarion.com
I’ve gone through the forum looking for possible fixes and have now done the debugging log thing you suggest.
The Squeeze form Debug:
[10/16/2011 7:56 AM] – Advisory : Log file reset.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Processing free download request for squeeze form submission…
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Decrypting product ID value: Ng==
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Received Data…[Name:Marion][Email:marion@marionryan.com][Product ID:6][ap_id:][IP Address:46.7.198.128]
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Email with the download link sent to: marion@marionryan.com
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Performing autoresponder signup if specified in the settings…
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Updating the customers database with the visitor details…
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS : Squeeze form task complete.
And the eStore Debug:
[10/16/2011 7:56 AM] – Advisory : Log file reset.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Performing item specific autoresponder signup if specified.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber signup from email address:Websites with Marion <marion@marionryan.com>
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Preparing to send AWeber signup request email.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Sending AWeber signup request email via eStore’s mail script.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Signup email request successfully sent to AWeber.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber list to signup to:websites-with-m@aweber.com
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber item specific signup operation performed for customer:marion@marionryan.com
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Performing global autoresponder signup if specified.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Preparing to send AWeber signup request email.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Sending AWeber signup request email via eStore’s mail script.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :Signup email request successfully sent to AWeber.
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber list to signup to:websites-with-m@aweber.com
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber list signup from email address value:Websites with Marion <marion@marionryan.com>
[10/16/2011 8:07 AM] – SUCCESS :AWeber global list signup email sent for customer:marion@marionryan.com
===========================================
Everything above says SUCCESS but there is still no verification email coming from Aweber or names being added to the Aweber list. Three different people have tried it so it’s not a question of an email going to a spam folder.
Can you help please? I’m very close to going back to a simple Paypal button on this site but would prefer to understand what can be going wrong.
Thanks!
Marion
October 16, 2011 at 11:10 pm #37594adminKeymasterThe debug shows that eStore sent everything to AWeber successfully. There must be some mistake on the AWeber parser which is why it is failing to pickup this signup request. Please post a screenshot of your AWeber Parser or just share what values you entered in the following fields of your AWeber parser:
– Trigger Rule
– Rule1
– Ruel2
– Enable Parser for all lists in this account
October 17, 2011 at 10:54 am #37595marionryanMemberOk, I’ve done a screenshot but can’t see how to add an attachment to this post.
Here are the details.
The list I’m in is called websites-with-m
The parser shows:
Description: Custom Parser: Websites with Marion
Trigger Rule: From:[^n|.]+marion@marionryan.com
Rule 1: n[>s]*Email:s+(.+?)n
Rule 2: n[>s]*Name:s+(.+?)n
Haven’t touched either of those Rule 1 / Rule 2 boxes as instructed by you.
I’ve “enable parser for all lists…” multiple times. As you know, it doesn’t ‘stick’ so each time I re-tick and save.
Can you spot any flaws?
October 17, 2011 at 11:34 pm #37596adminKeymasterFor some reason AWeber is not picking up the signature from the request (usually happens if its not actually receiving the email or the from email address value in the header is not matching with the trigger rule).
You don’t have any plugin similar to this one that could be altering the from email address value of outgoing email from your server do you?
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-plugin-change-wp-email-from-details-1883
Can you go to eStore’s settings menu and change the value of the “From Email Address” field to the following then try it?
marion@marionryan.com
Also, the “To” and the “From” address of the email is the same in your test which is not idea. Some server’s won’t dispatch the email when this happens. Please use a different email address as your customer email to simulate a proper customer interaction scenario.
February 4, 2012 at 4:34 pm #37597prolificlivingMemberI am having the same problem that Marion is having. I double checked my email parser and still, my test buyer is not getting an email notification from Aweber.
Was there an update here to this situation?
Also which To email are you referring to ? Is this a field inside Aweber or eStore? I can’t find it anywhere. I just have my FROM email matching what I have in my email parser as per your instructions.
