Is there any file beyond the one in the plugin´s language folder that has to be edited? The reason for my question is that because after translating eng.php into Brazilian Portuguese, I couldn´t find the language in General eStore Settings. Thanks a lot.
November 16, 2011 at 12:32 am #21186adminKeymasterJust set “English” as your language in the eStore settings which will make it read the “eng.php” file. Since you already translated that file it will load the language you translated.
November 16, 2011 at 3:20 am #21187letorreMemberRight. But now, every time I add my product to cart I get the following error message: “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at C:HostingSpacesaudioleginss2012.audiolegis.com.brwwwrootwp-contentpluginswp-cart-for-digital-productslanguageseng.php:1) in C:HostingSpacesaudioleginss2012.audiolegis.com.brwwwrootwp-contentpluginswp-cart-for-digital-productswp_eStore1.php on line 408” as you can see in my test page http://inss2012.audiolegis.com.br/?page_id=4. Thanks again.
November 16, 2011 at 3:28 am #21188PeterMemberWhich version of the plugin are you using?
Please follow these steps to install a fresh and latest version:

November 16, 2011 at 10:13 pm #21189letorreMemberVersion 6.1.4. Any chances of my hosting provider being responsible for this? Because everything goes right on WampServer… Thanks.
November 16, 2011 at 11:07 pm #21190PeterMemberThere’s another test you should try. To eliminate the possibility that your WP theme or other plugins may be conflicting with the eStore plugin, please follow the instructions in the link below:

November 17, 2011 at 12:24 am #21191adminKeymasterWhen you modify the language file it is also important to not introduce unnecessary space before the
"<?php"
and after the"?>"
tags in that file. Also use a text editor that can save the file in UTF-8 format (using windows notepad is not a good idea). The first post of this thread has information on recommended text editor to use for “Non-English” users.November 17, 2011 at 2:37 am #21192letorreMemberSolved. I moved my test page to a Linux Hosting Server and so far everything works perfectly. Thanks for your support and congratulations for this amazing WP eStore Plugin!
October 11, 2012 at 7:33 pm #21193bluebirdnetMemberHi,
You recommended http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-multilingual/ but this extension is outdated and will not configure saying i need Dean’s FCKEditor, i have this editor installed and it still asks for it and wont configure and complete, so dead end.
Can you we use other multilingual extenstion? what about WPML?
October 12, 2012 at 3:32 am #21194adminKeymasterYou don’t need any plugin just to translate the language so you can use the plugin in your preferred language.
If you are referring to multilingual option then note that this is not a standard WordPress feature so we have very limited support for it.
With that said, yes you can use the WPML extension as some users have done it. The following posts should help:
June 11, 2013 at 2:37 am #21195LiamesqueMemberHello, I’ve followed instructions carefully here for customising the French translation of the plugin and so far so good with all that is contained in the language php file (saving in UTF-8 etc..).
However, in the buyer email body there is an error coming from the product_details field: This symbol ‘’ is displayed for accented characters.
Here’s part of the email to show you what I mean…
Merci beaucoup pour votre paiement ! [notes: basic thanks, all is well!]
Sance par RDV Skype x 1 – €0.01 (EUR) [ The error is with the {product_details} field]
Si vous avez effectué un paiement pour une séance… [accents in the php file are fine]
Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!!
June 11, 2013 at 4:15 am #21196adminKeymasterI don’t think your PayPal account profile is configured correctly to send notification in UTF-8 format. Please do the following:
June 11, 2013 at 9:50 pm #21197LiamesqueMemberThanks a million.
That worked a treat!
It was hard to find the right options in Paypal, but once I found it I was able to switch the setting over to UTF-8 and now I’m sorted!
Cheers
August 9, 2014 at 9:04 am #21198iliebgSpectatorHi Guys
i’m using this method https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/plugin-language-translation to translate my eMember into Romanian language but looks like my page and forms are still in English.
For example i tested with “Fill in the following details to verify your email address. You will be able to register for an account after the verification.” message but on my registration page the text is still in Eng.
Here is where i translate the message:
/***added v7.5.4#start**/
define(“EMEMBER_VERIFY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_MESSAGE”, “Te rog sa completezi formularul de mai jos pentru a verivica adresa ta de email. Dupa verificare vei putea sa iti creezi un cont de membru si vei avea acces la informatiile din zona dedicata membrilor.”);
and the file is here: …./wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/lang/ro.php
Can you please help?
Thanks!
August 9, 2014 at 1:07 pm #21199wzpModerator- Did you observe the “Note for Non-English Language Users” directions?
- Did you select the new language, using the “eMember Language” setting?
