We have subscriptions which are expiring even after Paypal recurring payments go through properly. I have to manually set the status to Active and reset the subscription start date, expires again despite next payment being made.
When we get the notification from Paypal that someone has made a payment we also get this second message: PayPal IPN Transaction on your site: Order ID not found
I am assuming this s a huge clue…help?

Kind regards
January 13, 2014 at 10:25 pm #60295adminKeymasterWhat value have you specified in your Membership level’s expiry field? The following post is good to read because sometimes users mis-configure the membership level which can cause this issue:
Are you directly integration with a PayPal button or using eStore to process the PayPal subscriptions?
January 14, 2014 at 7:16 pm #60296RhubarbMemberthanks for the links….
We are using WP Payment Gateway Bundle 1.8.1
eStore Subscription Discount 1.2
Subscriptions are processed, recurring payments set up with Paypal, initial payment clears, recurring billing happens fine at Paypal, but the subscription expires in eMember . It seems like the Paypal recurring payment isn’t phoning home to eMember.
January 14, 2014 at 10:46 pm #60297wpCommerceModerator@Rhubarb, we need to take a closer look at your site to see what is happening. I have sent an email to your registered email address for site access. Let me know if you don’t receive it.

February 6, 2014 at 6:46 am #60299mbaseSpectatorI would love to know what the solution to this problem was?
February 6, 2014 at 10:20 pm #60300adminKeymasterThe IPN setup was wrong in the PayPal account.
If you are having an issue… please describe it.
February 19, 2014 at 9:39 am #60301mbaseSpectatorOK. The reason why I was browsing this subject is that when I can’t seem to get my PayPal settings quite right. I searched this forum and tried various solutions, but they don’t seem to work quite right.
I have abandoned using the PDT Identity Token (although I believe that this should be the correct method), because when PayPal sent me back to my site, the items still appeared in my cart. Even after following all the suggestions on this forum, the only way I would no items in my cart after paying was to delete the PDT Identity Token.
In general, everything dealing with PayPal is working fine for me. I’ve set up both recurring payments and one-off shopping cart payments, and both go through fine in my tests. It was just this one issue with items remaining in my cart that I can’t seem to solve.
February 19, 2014 at 10:39 pm #60302adminKeymasterYour cart not clearing issue is probably going to be for some other reason. You shouldn’t have to turn off PDT just for that to work. Take a look at this post:

July 30, 2014 at 10:57 pm #60303RhubarbMemberI would like to bump this thread…we are receiving messages from Paypal about messages sent to the specified url are not being received. We have the IPN url set simply to [http://universaltao.tv] since Paypal will not allow it to be left blank…..is this correct?
Thanks!
July 31, 2014 at 5:09 am #60304adminKeymasterYes, that URL looks good to me. However, I can see that your server is having some permission issue. I have sent you an email to get access to the backend so I can give you a hand correct it.
July 31, 2014 at 7:08 pm #60305RhubarbMemberdone…thank you!
August 1, 2014 at 4:32 am #60306adminKeymasterUpdate: Turned out that the user changed hosting provider recently and on the new host, there were some file permission issues. The hosting provider has now fixed the permission issue.
August 1, 2014 at 6:30 pm #60307RhubarbMemberchmod 777 log files and IPN now verifies properly, thank you for the help on this!
